Energy & Policy Institute

Energy & Policy Institute Energy & Policy Institute is a watchdog that exposes attacks on renewable energy and counters misinformation by fossil fuel interests

We need to power the economy with renewable energy to address the climate crisis. Clean, renewable energy sources like wind and solar power are now affordable and cost-competitive with traditional fossil fuel energy sources (such as natural gas and coal) — and are quickly becoming mainstream energy sources. Other clean technology solutions like energy efficiency, electric vehicles and smart thermo

stats are also on the rise. But fossil fuel and utility interests are fighting to weaken renewable energy policies and stop the adoption of clean energy solutions in order to protect their 20th century business models. The Energy and Policy Institute exposes attacks and deception by fossil fuel corporations, utility interests, and front groups. We aim to disrupt fossil fuel-funded misinformation, separate polluters from policymakers, and accelerate the transition to a clean economy. The Energy and Policy Institute does not receive funding from corporations, trade associations or governments.

Big thanks to Senator Suzy Glowiak Hilton and State Rep Theresa Mah for sponsoring this important legislation. Please urge the General Assembly to pass the Utility Affordability Act (SB 2885/HB 5061). Read our release: https://bit.ly/3wmKDuA Take action here: https://bit.ly/42ERyv8
