“The fact that the rebrand is not a higher priority is bigger news to me. They have nothing right now on a stadium, so 2030 sounds like the right sort of timeline. But a bad identity and bad brand should be a higher priority,” Cakes said.

DARRELL GREEN UPDATE: The Commanders will retire his number on Oct. 20 when they host Carolina.

The Commanders announced this spring that Green's No. 28 will be retired sometime during the 2024 season, and revealed on July 22 it will happen Oct. 20 when they host Carolina. He will be the fifth retired number in franchise history.
