Today was a special day for the LGBTQ community and every other American that enthusiastically showed up to support their statement showing we will be ONE AMERICA when it comes to respecting everyone’s right to aspire to a happy, safe, and equal existence in this country.

There were a few, to put it mildly, vocal dissenters, that created just a few minor, verbally aggressive episodes. Thankfully, the combatants on both sides of the conflicts avoided any physical escalation. The presence of law enforcement was respectful and the post-parade activities were going smoothly as I left the venue.

I hope every other LGBTQ venue today went as well as what I witnessed in Snohomish, WA.
