It is the very last 24 hours to subscribe to receive our Autumn issue in the mail in the next 10 days.

It is also our very last week on Elba Island, off the coast of Tuscany Italy. We came for one week and that was eight weeks ago. Two months on our favorite place on earth. Swimming every day, mountain, biking, hiking, coffee and cocktails, It’s still retains its old world charm, and still has a sense of safety and gentle peacefulness about it.

Elba is off the coast of Tuscany, its closest airport, remains Italy’s best kept secret. Its small village charm covered in pastels, soothing calm, it remains, stopped in time, distinctly Italian. No traffic jams, and every village exudes, beauty, admittedly, up market, safe, harder to get to, because there’s no major airport , with Viticco being our very favorite part.

Can you guess our very favorite Italian island?

here are a few clues. Let us know when you got it.

1. It is off the coast of Tuscany.

2. You can see Corsica in the distance.

3. It is easily one of the most overlooked, under marketed and most beautiful island in Italy.

4. It’s not Sardinia or Sicily or Procida.

5. Have you guessed yet? Napoleon was exiled on this island and you can visit his home on one of the daily tours.

6. It is the most laid-back, safe, easy-going Italian islands that doesn’t ever feel super crowded.

Our umbrella summer continues in Italy.

If you can believe it, four weeks later, we are still on the island of Elba off the coast of Tuscany.

Remember as you travel, there are so many small, beautiful boutique hotels and stays that are not always the big ones promoted on blogs. The most important thing about any hotel is how it actually makes you feel. Comfortable, relaxed, at ease, surrounded by beauty, unpretentious.

It’s an umbrella summer 🌴From Florida to Capri, it’s great to see our friends that are down the street in California, in so many gorgeous hotels especially here in Italy and France: ❤️❤️ We are super thrilled that our photo shoot with some of their umbrellas will be in our upcoming Autumn issue, the Venice sessions. Not an ad, we just love them.

We are on the often overlooked (and unbranded) Italian island of Elba, off the coast of Tuscany. You won’t see it on many top 10 Italian island lists, but it’s easily our favorite. A short ferry ride away from Corsica and Tuscany, it’s retains its old world, Italian charm, perhaps because it consciously lacks a major airport. Laid back, easy, and there’s no shortage of tiny Italian villages. Navigating the island is effortless, it’s the safest we found, and everything is relatively close.

It all started last year when three of our editors were long-distance swimming on the coast of Sardinia and a jovial couple on catamaran invited them aboard for a glass of wine in the middle of their swim. They told us that they docked their boat in the winter on the island of Elba. We looked at each other and thought why haven’t we heard of this place.

When an island has this much charm and is relatively unheard of by Americans, one is left to think that it consciously wants to be left off the big tourist map.

So proud to have our European base in Paris (half our team is French). We’re thrilled to be the chosen creative agency for several tourism boards at this summer’s Olympics. We also have extra team members on call as crisis agents or extra assistants if you need them. Our spaces are located in the 1st and the 9th. Fluent in English, French and Spanish.
