Sunday nights always bring back memories of cruising down Military Drive while listening to oldies. It reminded me of when I saw Mr. Sunny Ozuna in the KLMO 98.9 FM studio. Sunny & the Sunliners created a blend of Tejano rhythms and soulful melodies. The band's journey began in San Antonio, Texas, in 1959.

On my entrepreneurial journey, I've learned to be selective about who I share my experiences (and time) with. Sometimes, saying "no" isn’t easy. Sometimes, you don’t make it into the "in" crowd. And guess what? Both of these can be what you need to thrive—personally and professionally. Trust that intuition will lead you where you’re meant to be.

I was honored to sponsor the Poderosa Rising Fireside Chat at Cuba 1918! I am proud of the amazing women who shared their stories and expertise on the panel. Feeling beyond blessed to have attended the HWNT 20th Annual Rebozo Brunch at the Estancia del Norte Hotel today with my mom and Superman. (Someone thought he was my bodyguard. 🤣) I saw so many inspiring people, including my LLI sisters.

I am honored to have been named the 2024 Hermana Award recipient for my work with Live From The Southside. Amplifying voices and providing much-needed positive media representation in our community is close to my heart, and I am deeply grateful for this recognition.

Thank goodness for friends who know where the good places are! Had an amazing dining experience at Victor's Cafe Cuban Restaurant in NYC. If you're ever in the area, make sure to stop by 236 W 52nd St (between Broadway and 8th Ave) for some incredible food and a fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend!

For the past few days, I've had the incredible opportunity to attend the Military Influencer Conference alongside The Pink Berets in Atlanta. I feel deeply grateful for these enriching experiences, all made possible by my dear friend and the nonprofit founder, Stephanie Gattas. Serving as a board member for nearly a decade, I've been privileged to engage with the military and leadership communities and expand the national reach of my publication, Live From The Southside. This has also enabled me to establish valuable connections with exceptional companies and organizations.

MIC is a platform for leaders, entrepreneurs, and brands dedicated to shaping and supporting the military community.

The Pink Berets is a nonprofit committed to offering support to women of the US Armed Forces and veterans who are confronting invisible injuries such as PTSD, MST, and CTS. I take immense pride in being a part of this vital mission.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to spend the week alongside esteemed authors Janae Sergio and Terace Evette Coleman Garnier.

: My Latina Leadership Institute sisters are proudly sporting bracelets made by my stepdaughter Ruby.

I make it a point to teach my stepdaughters about financial independence, smart decision-making, problem-solving, avoiding debt, and understanding the difference between wants and needs. These are essential life skills that can prepare them for adulthood.

Happy National Daughter Day to my five beautiful stepdaughters. It hasn't been an easy road, but we're now in a good place. I hope they know how much I love them all and one day realize that all the tough love, hard conversations, and guidance I bring to the table are to help steer them in good directions and lead them to what they want in life. I also hope my success is an example for them of how to do it all and live life to its fullest. None of us asked for how our lives turned out in this chapter, but the silver lining is that no matter what, we're all there for each other when it counts. I think their mother would be proud of that.

We brought Texas to New York! The Pink Berets participated in the first-ever Greater New York City Veteran and Military Family Summit at Yankee Stadium.

The NYC Department of Veterans' Services, in partnership with Blue Star Families Craig Newmark New York Tri-State Chapter, the Center for Women Veterans, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs plan d a day of programming and activities.
