Recently, our Minneapolis-St. Paul, 2060 Cares team, (Our volunteer group within 2060 Digital) had the privilege of spending an afternoon at the Ronald McDonald House volunteering to help support the RMH families. We are proud of our team for their dedication and the positive impact they made.

Some of the activities that they helped with include:

-Unloading a Box Truck that is filled with sodas and other beverages for families.
-Helping with box & pop top recycling
-Updating prize wheels
-Packaging candy for upcoming community fundraisers.

WUBE's Big Dave worked the Cincinnati Reds Split the Pot booth for the Reds Community Fund at the Oakland A's game. Jesse Tack helped Big Dave work the donation table at this Rock for Ron fundraiser. Ron, who was with B105 for many years passed away in 2022 and a fundraiser was setup to create a scholarship in his name at Elder High School. Around $25,000 has been raised, which is enough to start the scholarship fund! Thank you to everyone who volunteered or donated!

Congratulations to the staff of SKOR North in Minneapolis-St. Paul! The Power of Sports auction raised $13,715 for Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. Last week SKOR North auctioned off some exciting Minnesota sports experiences, including Minnesota Vikings tickets from ESPN Radio, Champions Club tickets for the Minnesota Twins, a suite for a Minnesota Wild game, Minnesota Timberwolves tickets and a Purple Daily dinner with Phil, Judd and Declan. That means that SKOR North has raised nearly $30,000 raised in the last two years! Thank you to everyone who participated or donated!

Last Thursday, in front of a passionate and grateful sold-out crowd at Fillmore Minneapolis, myTalk 107.1 presented the “Last Dance with LoJ” as Lori Barghini and Julia Cobbs hosted their final broadcast after 22 years on myTalk 107.1. The evening was funny, poignant and incredibly emotional. To understand the historic weight of the moment you need to understand the context of the decision by Ginny Hubbard 22 years ago to hire a drive time radio show hosted solely by two women. Quite simply, it had never happened before. What we have taken for granted the past 10-15 years—strong, smart and funny women leading radio talk shows—was unheard of in 2002.

Every year, Hubbard Radio South Florida's WMBX (X102.3) executes a very cool community-minded promotion to assist single parent families -- an all-expenses-paid bus trip to the Orlando theme parks.

Recently, X102.3 partnered with SeaWorld Orlando and treated several local families to this awesome experience. Mark McCray (center), X102.3 PD/afternoon talent, said, "We understand how challenging and costly it is to be a single parent. Assisting these families with a day of fun is just a small way we can bless our community and create memories with our listeners."

Hubbard Radio St. Louis employees participated in a day of service recently at Home Sweet Home furniture bank. They purchased and built 15 table and chair sets and built other miscellaneous furniture for their clients. Hubbard Radio St. Louis also held a pillow drive for the organization leading up to the day and collected over 50 pillows!

2060 Digital had a fun arts and crafts project that was also very rewarding! Through 2060 Cares, they created 138 cards to be distributed to Children's Hospitals across the Twin Cities metro.

KS95’s Clouds Choir was also back in the rotunda at Mall of America last Friday night. Over 3,000 people packed all four levels of Mall of America to sing Zach Sobiech’s song Clouds, which was released by KS95 in December of 2012. The great Karl Demer directed the choir and produced the Clouds Choir video. New this year was a Clouds Choir ambassador. Osteosarcoma survivor, Megan, brought new inspiration to the stage. Thank you to everyone who participated or volunteered!

Recently, the 16 Hubbard Radio stations in Alexandria, Bemidji, Brainerd and Wadena raised over $196,000 during their annual Radiothon To End Child Abuse! On December 7th and 8th the Hubbard radio stations in Northern Minnesota hosted the 35th Annual Radiothon to End Child Abuse. Hubbard Radio employees in Alexandria, Bemidji, Brainerd and Wadena worked closely with FamilyWise, along with the Child Abuse Prevention Councils in each of the counties they serve, to raise awareness and money for this important cause. Thank you to everyone who volunteered or donated to this important cause!

The 25th annual KS95 for Kids radiothon was live at Mall of America a week ago and raised $1,074,118!!!!! The money raised by this year’s KS95 for Kids will benefit our partners at Gillette Children’s and Masonic Children’s Hospital. Thank you to everyone who donated or volunteered!

The Big Dave Show on Hubbard Radio, B-105, in Cincinnati, held their annual "10,000 Toys for Girls & Boys" fundraiser that benefits Toys for Tots and their listeners came through again! Big Dave, Ashley and Statt personally collected over 7,000 toys from Toy Troopers all over the Cincinnati metro area with another 300 toys purchased online.

Couple those numbers with nearly $34,000 in cash and Venmo donations and the goal was definitely crushed this year! That's a whole lot of Christmas morning smiles, thanks to the generosity of the B-105 audience.

The Drive’s morning show hosts Sherman & Tingle welcomed Chicago’s pet lovers at their seventh annual “Operation: Santa Paws.” Over $19,000 in pet food, supplies, and cash was raised, which included two weeks of online donations and culminated in a live show/donation event at Petsmart in Evanston.

97.1 FM The Drive joined forces with Chicago’s Anti-Cruelty Society – a local organization helping thousands of pets and their humans every year through adoptions, veterinary programs, investigation and rescue, behavior support, education, and more — to collect food, new toys, and cash donations for those animals who do not have homes or families for the holidays.

Three of Hubbard Radio brands in Minneapolis-St. Paul teamed up with local charities to raise money on Give to the Max Day here in Minnesota. Thank you SKOR North, Garage Logic and myTalk 107.1 who raised nearly $15,000 for Minnesota charities.

SKOR North raised $4,000 for Secondhand Hounds.

Garage Logic raised $9,000 for Play For Patrick.

myTalk 107.1 raised $1,700 for Alive & Kickin’.

Congratulations to Hubbard Radio Brainerd for winning at the 2023 Brainerd Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce annual Celebration Of Excellence Awards. It was an incredible evening that reflected the strength and vitality of the Brainerd market. The BLA Chamber of Commerce is the 5th largest chamber in Minnesota. The room was filled with BLA business leaders who are driving the growth and success of the Brainerd Lakes Area.

There were a number of highlights. The event was called “Rock The House” and everyone was encouraged to dress like a rock star.

The biggest highlight of the evening was when Hubbard Brainerd was awarded the Business Excellence Award. This is BIG DEAL! Out of the over 1,000 members in the BLA Chamber, Hubbard Radio was named the very best!!!
