Mike & Cheryl Karrels - MnC Treasures - How it all began ...

We have been married for 13 years and have a true love for the Lord. Cheryl has two grown boys (Jacob 38 and Christopher 36) from a previous marriage. We live in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Our animals include two rescue dogs, Laney and Jax, and an African grey parrot named Shakespeare who talks all the time.

In good weather you can find us out at flea markets and garage sales trying to score a hidden treasure or something to re-purpose in a DIY craft project. We love to find items on a budget to transform or revive.

Cheryl, who has been a long time crafter, loves to peruse Facebook and Pinterest for ideas to create on a budget or what the latest decorating trends are. Mike can be found researching our latest finds for their hidden values. We have been able to find a few diamonds in the rough to flip for a profit.

We hope to inspire you to look at things for their value and as items to use for makeovers. Think positively and you can do anything you set your mind too. Whether in crafting, antiquing or in any part of life, believe you can achieve and you will be one step closer to success. If you put off starting you will never succeed.
