Way to go Randy

Congratulations to Coach Randy Van Gasse on his “Assistant Coach of the Year” award! Coach received his award Tuesday evening at Comerica Park during the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association All Star festivities. Coach has over 22 years of experience in high school baseball and was the head coach at Clinton High School from 1978-1990. He returned to coaching at Norway High School where he served as head coach from 2015-2019. Since 2020, Coach Van Gasse has been an assistant coach. Coach RVG has been associated with 331 victories, 6 conference championships, 8 district championships, 3 regional championships, a Final Four, and a State Finalist. He has also earned 3 District Coach of the Year awards and 2 Regional Coach of the Year awards. Most importantly, Coach RVG is a tremendous resource for our student athletes both on the field and off. Congrats again Coach, well deserved! Go Knights ⚾️!

We've seen there have been a few people asking about the parade date, route and start time. Here are all the deets, we hope to see you there!
DATE: Thursday, July 4th
TIME: 9am start
ROUTE: small change imposed by the City of IM due to the MDoT road project. Parade starts at the corner of Balsam/Woodward, proceeds east down Woodward and turns left onto Kimberly, then right onto Detroit to rejoin the remainder of our usual route of Carpenter, then right onto H St to end at the Super One parking lot.

Spectators please note: the Judges tent will be at the start of the parade this year so the west, Kingsford side of Woodward at Balsam will not be available for spectators. Please DO NOT set yourselves up anywhere on Balsam as it is our staging area and a safety issue. Please look at the attached map so you don't set yourselves up in an area that will be bypassed this year due to the road construction and miss the parade.
