A huge THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to all the racers in addition to everyone one that spectated the 2nd "Feeder 500". Being our second year we tried to grow the event with a new location, the addition of drag racing, and a better oval track that featured large banked corners. After a day full of racing we crowned Sasha () as our 2022 Points Champion! Congrats to all the winters of each class. Enjoy your reign as champion. Next year you have a title to defend ;)

A behind the scenes look at what I do to prep a new snowmobile before it’s first ride. I only had two hours to get my sled ready and these were my “must do” items.
What is the prep you do to your machine?
The average person is left in the dark on the subject of set up. The user manual
leaves the reader with more questions than answers. These tips are knowledge I have learned over the years and I’m happy to share with you.

Starting off on the right foot is very important. In this video you will get a behind the scene look at what I do to prep my snowmobile before my first ride....

I miss snowboarding 🏂 in July 🎇. This year the mountains are so dry 💀. I haven’t seen 👀 them like this in a while. Here’s 🥂 to hoping for that 1000 inch winter ❄️ I have been chasing.

I finished a disappointing P17 at on May 2, 2021. The 2002 XCSP I was piloting had some strong runs during the cooler temps that existed through the late morning. By the mid afternoon it was time for my timed run. The snow had turned to soft mashed potatoes and the 1.5” lug on my 136” track had a hard time moving the sled forward at the same pace it had earlier in the day. The top place sleds were all current model mountain sleds with deeper lugs and longer tracks. The corner in this video was my favorite of the day. Coming out of the corner before this one you had to pin the throttle to the bars while descending down the slope into this sweeping left hander. A full stab of the brakes at the last moment before sliding a bit sideways to set up for the turn. Turning the gas back on before entering the apex. Increasing speed at the exit and headed into the most challenging up hill section. Huge thank you to blank for the video. Huge thank you to Joe Gill for putting on the event. Welp, winter is over, the sleds are put away, but I have a bunch of content that’s left on my phone from this past season. Here is your heads up that the next few weeks might get kinda snowy and deep on my feed.

The “Feeder Chariot” is my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L V8 1500. This old girl has been in my fleet since 2010 and has driven across the country, lived through a 750 inch snow season, drove in winter to Alaska and back, spent a few summers at the So Cal beach, and Nor Cal farms. Sure she’s got some rust on her and the paint is peeling but this girl keeps moving. Purchased with 116k miles she currently sits somewhere in the range of 280k. Over the years I have done a fair bit of work to keep her on the road. Brake lines, fuel lines, two fuel pumps, alternator, tires, brakes, rotors, shocks, knock sensor, wheel bearings, wheel speed sensors, and a transfercase. Not too shabby if you ask me. My love for this truck runs deep. I have zero plans on replacing her anytime soon. In fact I see a new transmission and an upgrade to a 6.0 junk yard motor in her future. My word of advice to any young inspiring mountain man or woman would be this . Get yourself a good cheap American Made truck. Learn to fix it yourself. And let the good times roll 🤙.

Pushed up to Castle from DLI this past Sunday with and . Yes the road is melted out, but you can take the snow band to the left of the creek all the way up to the snow line. After that it’s a lot of sidehilling on hard south facing snow, but a really fun time never the less. Once at Castle main bowl the snow turns back to soft fun spring snow. The tops of the chutes were a little icy so we pushed over sun bowl and headed west towards signal peak. Along the way we found more soft snow and mini gullies and sidehill spots. Great time was had by all.

Let me introduce you to STREET FEEDER. An bone stock AP1 S2000 with 65k on the odometer. This one owner car, was born and raised in Carson City it’s entire life. Fully loaded with almost every add-on you could get from the factory. The car was taken into the local Honda Certified Mechanic for every service interval the book calls for, and came with a binder full of paper work, receipts, original catalogs, and brochures. The owner was 45 when he bought it and now is 65 and can’t drive the car due to hip and knee surgery. He was dang near in tears as I drove it away.
I remember in 2001 being at the Honda dealership and looking at the s2000 catalogs while my parents were in the process of buying a Honda mini van. Funny how 20 years later I come to own one.
For those of you who don’t know, the s2000 is a mid-engine car that has a 51/49 weight ratio between the front and rear of the car. It’s 2L in-line 4 motor (for it’s time) made more HP per liter (120) than any other naturally aspirated car on the market. Additionally the motor has a list of forged parts including the crankshaft, connecting rods, and pistons. Paired to a 6 speed transmission and limited slip rear dif. The cars were hand assembled at the Takanezawa plant in Japan.
A sport car for the guy who can’t afford European prices and wants the reliability of a Honda 🤙.
