The Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) is pleased to announce they will host Dozers & Dirt on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Rilite Aggregate pit, located at 9208 Western Skies Dr. Reno, NV 89521, from 10:00 am – 3:30 pm, gates will close at 2:30 pm. Brought to you by the former committee of Reno Big Dig, this once-in-a-lifetime event offers children of all ages the chance to get on a big rig and drive heavy equipment. Participants can drive and ride dozers, graders, backhoes, loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and more. The event also invites kids of all ages to operate more than 35 pieces of heavy construction equipment and experience up-close displays of the RAVEN helicopter, a bomb unit, police cars, fire trucks, and more. Special appearances by local mascots, including the Wolfpack's Alphie, Archie of the Aces, and Smokey, the Bear, are fan favorites at the annual event. An adult and a waiver must accompany all children is required for entry. Admission to the event is $100 per child under 17 who would like to ride the equipment. Tickets include a youth t-shirt, backpack, and water pouch (while supplies last). Closed-toe shoes are required.
