BSCTC is offering several CPR-100 courses throughout the semester on the Pikeville and Prestonsburg campuses! The dates are as follows August 23rd & 24th, September 20th & 21st, October 14th, 15th 17th, & 18th, and November 22nd & 23rd.

CPR-100 is a one-credit course (Elective) that will give the students an American Heart Association certificate in Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers. They are completed in two days and the certificate from AHA within a week after the course.

Law Enforcement is currently looking for this man, Michael Colley, He was last seen in the McDowell community around the 600 block of Rt 680 which is near the old McDowell School..

Michael Colley is a suspect in a murder that occurred at a residence in that area just before midnight last night/ this morning

Last known clothing description was dark colored jacket, dark colored sweat pants along with reflective athletic shoes.

Colley should be considered dangerous and we ask that anyone that may have any information as to his whereabouts to please call 911 or the Kentucky State Police at 606-433-7711

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

At 308 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Vail to Hollybush, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Estill and Dana. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant property damage.
