Hey Concert lovers! Alexandra Mecs, one of our Music Association Club members, is selling tickets for The Lighthouse and the Whaler concert that will be held at Stage AE on Tuesday March 14th! Music Association Internship Spotlight: Amber Montz Pioneer Records Booking Intern

What type of tasks do you do as the Pioneer Records booking intern?

Some of my tasks include, setting up meetings to book our artists (ex. gasoline street coffee), help set up/run these events, being involved with the studio sessions and all things to do with the upcoming EP.

What did you learn from booking and scheduling the CMI & Gasoline Street Coffee Shop event?

I learned from booking the CMI that things don't always go as planned so you have to be able to improvise, and that communication is key.

Would you recommend this internship to a classmate? If so, why?

I would! I think it is a great opportunity to get into booking and be in a comfortable environment. Everyone just wants you to learn so it's really easy to ask questions and actually get something out of the experience.

We hope to see all the Music Association members at the show tomorrow! Its a great way to meet some of our local artists and get more involved with the club! There will be a sign in sheet for those who attend. The executive board recognizes the people who attend the most meetings and events and will take that into account for up and coming volunteer experiences.

The music juices are flowing at Red Caiman studios today with our third artist, Chase and the Barons! If you want to get more involved, be sure to sign up for a studio session. Studio sessions are from 10-1pm and 1pm to 4pm. The morning sessions are pretty filled up but if you are interested in coming tomorrow for the 1 to 4pm session comment below.
