"Si nos humilláramos delante de Dios, si fuéramos bondadosos, corteses, compasivos y piadosos, habría cien conversiones a la verdad donde ahora hay una sola. Pero aunque profesamos estar convertidos, llevamos con nosotros un atado de egoísmo que consideramos demasiado precioso para desecharlo. Today it is 109 years since Sister White passed away.

On July 16, 1915, she passed away in her home in Elshaven, California, USA at her 87 years old.

In regards to her ministry, she wrote:

"Some have stumbled over the fact that I said I did not claim to be a prophet; [Reference is here made to a discourse given at Battle Creek, October 2, 1904, in which she said, “I do not claim to be a prophetess.”—Compilers.] and they have asked, Why is this?
I have had no claims to make, only that I am instructed that I am the Lord’s messenger; that He called me in my youth to be His messenger, to receive His word, and to give a clear and decided message in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Early in my youth I was asked several times, Are you a prophet? I have ever responded, I am the Lord’s messenger. I know that many have called me a prophet, but I have made no claim to this title. My Saviour declared me to be His messenger. “Your work,” He instructed me, “is to bear My word. Strange things will arise, and in your youth I set you apart to bear the message to the erring ones, to carry the word before unbelievers, and with pen and voice to reprove from the Word actions that are not right. Exhort from the Word. I will make My Word open to you. It shall not be as a strange language. In the true eloquence of simplicity, with voice and pen, the messages that I give shall be heard from one who has never learned in the schools. My Spirit and My power shall be with you.
“Be not afraid of man, for My shield shall protect you. It is not you that speaketh: it is the Lord that giveth the messages of warning and reproof. Never deviate from the truth under any circumstances. Give the light I shall give you. The messages for these last days shall be written in books, and shall stand immortalized, to testify against those who have once rejoiced in the light, but who have been led to give it up because of the seductive influences of evil.”
Why have I not claimed to be a prophet?—Because in these days many who boldly claim that they are prophets are a reproach to the cause of Christ; and because my work includes much more than the word “prophet” signifies.
When this work was first given me, I begged the Lord to lay the burden on someone else. The work was so large and broad and deep that I feared I could not do it. But by His Holy Spirit the Lord has enabled me to perform the work which He gave me to do.

One of the last things she stated was. " I know whom I have believed."

El Otro Angel:
"Y después de estas cosas vi otro ángel descender del cielo teniendo gran poder; y la tierra fue alumbrada de su gloria. Apoc. 18:1.
Nuestros pioneros (ASDMR), comprendieron que este Movimiento era el cumplimiento de Apocalipsis 18:1-4.
Delegación de la CG, 1931, Resolución # 10: Fuerte Pregón-Lluvia Tardía; En armonía con los Testimonios del Espíritu de Profecía y la Palabra de Dios, creemos que, al presente, la lluvia tardía no ha sido derramada aún. El triple mensaje de los tres Angeles concluira en un "Fuerte Pregón". Al presente, estamos viviendo en el tiempo de una proclamación más completa del mensaje del tercer ángel, del cumplimiento de Apocalipsis 18:1-4. Este mensaje comenzó con la apostasía oficial del pueblo Adventista que dejó la Ley de Dios ".
Así, los delegados en sesión, en 1931, reconocieron el solemne llamado y responsabilidad de este Movimiento de Reforma. Lo publico, a raíz de que últimamente, hay algunos que debido a algunas circunstancias, o a su falta de consagración, dudan de la misión de este Movimiento.

Hola amigos.
Todo cristiano debe actuar a conciencia como un verdadero cristiano.
"La suave respuesta quita la ira; mas la palabra áspera hace subir el furor. Proverbios 16:1.
Si no respondes igual a tu ofensor, ganarás mucho.
"Mirad que ninguno pague a otro mal por mal; antes seguid lo bueno siempre unos para con otros, y para con todos. 1 Tesalonicenses 5:15.

Y menos dar un mal cuando nos han hecho bien.
"El que da mal por bien, no se apartará el mal de su casa. Proverbios 17:13.
Ningún cristiano, de cualquier religión, está exento de éste deber.

Acción frente a la apostasía:
En 1908, la hermana White, al ver como los pastores estaban desviando a la gente de regreso a las ollas de carne de Egipto, los instaba a firmar la promesa de cumplir con su compromiso bautismal de vivir la Reforma Pro Salud, o que renuncien a sus cargos:
"Nuevamente presentó el papel y dijo: 'Firmad este papel o renunciad a vuestros cargos". Te. pág. 178.5
De centenares de pastores, menos de una docena firmaron el pacto. La Reforma pro salud dejó de ser considerada obligatoria entre el pueblo Adventista.
Pero el pueblo Remanente de adventistas fieles,, avanzaría con esa y otras reformas después de ese evento. Así lo reveló el Señor a su sierva.
"Se me ha presentado claramente que el pueblo de Dios ha de tomar una posición firme en contra del consumo de carne." CRA 457.1.
Si no estás entre este pueblo (iglesia), aun no estas entre el pueblo de Dios.

Good morning everyone.
This is just a brief note, to avoid needless discussion on one paragraph cut from an article on dress reform, and quoted on our day lesson on Thursday November 9, 2023.
"To those who consistently adopted the reform dress, appreciating its advantages and cheerfully taking their position in opposition to pride and fashion, it proved a blessing. When properly made, it was a becoming and consistent dress, and recommended itself to persons of candid mind, even among those not of our faith. 4T 635.2.

Though the use of that dress was discouraged, some were imposing it to others.

"Nor was this all. Some who adopted the reform were not content to show by example the advantages of the dress, giving, when asked, their reasons for adopting it, and letting the matter rest there. They sought to control others’ conscience by their own. If they wore it, others must put it on. They forgot that none were to be compelled to wear the reform dress. 4T 636.1.

These were the reasons why sister white made the following statement;

"Much unhappy feeling was created by those who were constantly urging the reform dress upon their sisters. With extremists, this reform seemed to constitute the sum and substance of their religion. It was the theme of conversation and the burden of their hearts; and their minds were thus diverted from God and the truth. They failed to cherish the spirit of Christ and manifested a great lack of true courtesy. 4T 636.3.

As you all can see, she is not condemning to talk and to implement proper dress reform.
She is against imposing upon others the reform dress, which we don't do.

Les escribo esta breve nota, para aclarar una nota de los testimonios mal traducida y que se presta para ser sacada fuera de contexto.
En primer lugar quiero aclarar que la traducción citada está defectuosa.
Aquí compartiré una traducción corregida.
Además, en la parte des artículo citado, no se condena el hablar o enseñar la Reforma del vestuario, sino hablar e imponer el Vestido reformado. Si ud no sabe a qué se refiere le agradecería consultarme. Lea los párrafos anteriores bien traducidos para evitar la confusión.

"A quienes consistentemente adoptaron el vestido reformado, apreciando sus ventajas, tomando alegremente su posición en oposición al orgullo y la moda, demostró ser una bendición. Apropiadamente hecho, era un vestido decoroso y coherente, recomendandose a si mismo ante las personas de mente cándida, aun entre los que no pertenecen a nuestra fe. 4TI 628.1.

Pero el problema no era meramente el vestido, sino que quienes lo adoptaron, querían imponerlo a los demás.

"Tampoco esto fue todo. Algunas que adoptaron la reforma no estaban satisfechas con ser ejemplo de las ventajas de tal vestido, dando explicaciones por haberlo adoptado cuando se les preguntaba y dejando aquí el asunto. Querían controlar la conciencia de otros por la suta. Si ellas lo llevaban, las otras también debían llevarlo. Olvidaron que ninguna mujer estaba obligada a aceptar el vestido reformado. 4TI 628.3.
Luego llegamos al párrafo en cuestión.

"Muchos sentimientos de insatisfacción fueron creados por aquellos que constantemente urgían el vestido reformado sobre las hermanas. Para estas extremistas, esta reforma parecía constituir la suma y sustancia de su religión. Era tema de su conversación y carga de sus corazones, y sus mentes se desviaban asi de Dios y la verdad. No recibieron el espíritu de Cristo y manifestaron una gran falta de verdadera cortesía. En lugar de valorar el vestido por sus ventajas reales, se enorgullecian de su singularidad. Quizá entre nosotros jamás surgió una cuestión que causara un desarrollo del carácter como la reforma del vestir. 4TI 629.2.

Como pueden percibir, el párrafo no es en contra de hablar e implementar la reforma del vestir, sino en contra de hablar e imponer el Vestido reformado.

DEBER PARA HOY: "La primera obra que tienen que hacer los presuntos reformadores consiste en purificar la imaginación. Si la mente se desvía en una dirección equivocada, debe ser obligada a volver y espaciarse sólo en temas puros y elevados. Cuando se vean tentados a ceder ante una imaginación corrompida, deberían huir hacia el trono de la gracia y orar pidiendo fortaleza del Cielo.
