BonhamsCars is getting revved up for the upcoming summer Festival of Speed, set to take place on Friday, July 14. The 30th anniversary Goodwood Sale will feature 79 examples of the world’s most highly desirable, collectible motor cars.

Participating brands include Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and more. The auction has already announced several of its top lots, like the 1958 Ford Motor Company 107E Prefect (estimated between £40,000 – £45,000), the 1961 Aston Martin DB4GT Coupe (estimated between £2,200,000 – £2,600,000) and the 1963 AC MA-200 Roadster Prototype (estimated between £450,000 – £550,000).

Zeelander Yachts has recently relaunched one of its most timeless yachts, the Zeelander 7. Interestingly, Zeelander is offering this new small superyacht design in three different sizes.

The Zeelander 7 shows off down-east styling thanks to the design input from Cor D. Rover. Her low profile, S-shaped shear line, deeply raked transom, and flared bow make her design distinct and elegant.

This visual appeal is carried throughout the boat’s interior, which shows off a capable galley, master suite, two guest suites, a crew cabin, and a tender garage.

Triumph Motorcycles’ 2024 range is expanding with the addition of the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X.

The new Speed 400 joins its Speed Twin 900 and 1200 motorcycle siblings. On the other hand, the all-new, off-road Scrambler 400 X takes design cutes from the Scmrable 900 and 1200.

While these new vehicles uphold Triumph’s signature design elements – like the trademark black powder-coated engine casings, distinctive finned cylinder head and traditional exhaust header clamps – they simultaneously introduce new features like the upswept silencer, bold graphics, and new technology.

The Boca Raton private club and resort comprise five luxury hotels in sunny South Florida. The exclusive property prioritizes its title as a Club, first and foremost. This means that club members have access to all the amenities of the community – including the golf course, tennis courts, 12 restaurants, pickleball, a mile of private beach, Harborside Pool Club, a private marina, spa, and exclusive dining with special eats and drinks for club members only at one of the property’s eateries every night. As the hotel’s guests and club members are of the same demographic, it makes sense why many of the hotel guests arrive intending to stay for two or three nights and never leave.

Royal Dutch Shipyard Feadship celebrated its maritime history with the recent 10th Feadship Heritage Fleet (FHF) Rendevous. This annual event showcased rare, classic, 30+ years old Feadships in Haarlem and Amsterdam.

The event paid tribute to Frits de Voogt, a naval architect who designed many of the yachts at the 10th Rendevous. In total, the occasion showboated twenty-three Feadships from the UK, United States, and the Netherlands.

The New York Watch Auction: EIGHT recently concluded, realizing $26.4 million and selling 100% by lot and 100% by value.

The white glove sale featured world-record-holding models from luxury watchmakers, including Patek Philippe, Cartier, ROLEX, Audemars Piguet and more.

Roger Smith’s Pocket Watch Number Two led the sale, which achieved $4.9 million – a world record for any Britsh timepiece.

Le Mans Classic and Richard Mille first joined forces in 2002. The two brands are coming together again this year – on the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans – to celebrate this year’s 11th edition of Le Mans Classic from June 29-July 2.

Feadship has recently announced that their 71.76-meter Sakura yacht is ready for ownership in Spring 2025.

Sakura, which translates to ‘cherry blossom,’ features an eco-conscious design with sleek, organic lines. Studio De Voogt completed her exterior styling. Designed to support eco-conscious yachting, she operates via diesel-electric propulsion.

Onboard, Sakura showcases a unique Japandi style – “the combination of Scandinavian warmth and functionality with Japanese sobriety and minimalism, to create a feeling of art, nature, and simplicity,” explains Feadship in a recent press release.

Long ago, No. 10 Avenue d’lenas’s “Palais” was the home of Prince Roland Bonaparte. At this house of nobility, Paris’ aristocracy and bourgeoisie gathered to meet, likely discussing politics and the Société de Géographie. Prominent architect Richard Martinet later transformed this aristocratic address. Martinet worked to restore and renovate the property, which now welcomes guests from around the globe under the Shangri-La brand. Lamborghini lined up a fleet of 48 ferocious supercars to crush the competition at the start of the 2023 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. This impressive assembly promised cut-throat competition, and the Italian automaker certainly delivered.

At the season’s first race - at the Paul Ricard circuit in the South of France - VS Racing’s drivers Mattia Michelotto and Gilles Stadsbader beat out the competition by a little over five seconds in their #6 Lamborghini Huracán. At the weekend's second race, Marzio Moretti and Sebastian Balthasar claimed another victory.

The season's next race is soon approaching, set to take place from June 29- July 1 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.

Lamborghini’s The Real Race is back in action for its fourth edition. The virtual contest seeks to unite the top Esport talent across three continents. However, the competition isn’t wholly digital – the four-round online racing series runs alongside on-site circuit activations.

A regional final will follow the initial race series and feature the 24 best drivers from each region. The winner of The Real Race - Super Trofeo Esports series will become a factory driver for the new Automobili Lamborghini Esports Team.

BonhamsCars recently hosted its first European auction, The Bonmont Sale, in Chéserex, Switzerland. The sale was held near Geneva at Golf & Country Club Bonmont & Country Club.

The diverse auction comprised 60 hand-selected collector’s cars on offer and made a total of CHF11,847,937 with a 94% sell-through rate.

Highlight lots include the 1929 Bugatti Type 44 (which sold for CHF483,00) and the 2020 Bugatti Chiron (which sold for CHF2,760,000). Beyond Bugatti, Ferrari’s 1972 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’ Berlinetta achieved CHF506,000, and the Prancing Horse’s 1990 F40 sold for CHF1,955,000.

Mercedes-AMG recently revealed its new entry model for the AMG SL roadster. The technologically innovative open-top 2+2 seater, the SL 43, has a 139 engine with an electric exhaust and turbocharger. With this, Mercedes’ new AMG roaster delivers a more dynamic driving experience with an output of 375 hp and a maximum torque of 345 lb-ft.

The new SL was also updated with contemporary exterior detailing, including the unique front fascia, rear apron, and round double tailpipe trim accents. Still, the model retains signature AMG design elements like the long wheelbase, long hood, steeply raked windshield, 19-inch alloy wheels, and more. Drivers can customize their dream car with a choice of twelve paint finishes, three soft top colors, and several wheel designs.

Extra yachts recently unveiled its newest yacht at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023. Their new X99 Fast model features naval architecture from@ PalumboSuperyachts, exterior design from Guida Design studio, and interiors by Luca Dini Design & Architecture.

The 30m model boasts a compositive and carbon fiber hull and a 75 square meter stern area. A Mediterranean flair is incorporated throughout the vessel with its beach, lounge, and dining areas. Marble, smoke-effect black lacquered glass, and natural leather coverings add an elevated sense of style onboard.

Mercedes-Benz’s Design No. 5 program is taking place for the fifth time, at which attendees will learn what inspires the luxury automaker’s creative car builds. The theme of the automotive-focused event is “Creating Iconic Luxury.”

Signature iconic elements of Mercedes-Benz’s design include the 300 SL’s Gullwing doors, the typical AMG grille, and the shark-nose front-end design. New iconic design features set to be unveiled at Design No. 5 include the new LIMITED EDITION 1 OF 111 collection, Mercedes-Benz collaboration with Moncler an NFT created with artist Harm can de Dorpel, innovative powertrain technology, and Mercedes-Maybach Night Series.

Arnold & Son has unveiled a captivating Celestial Blue edition of their Perpetual Moon Timepiece. This new variant showcases a dial stamped with “Stellar Rays” and a moon disc against a grained sky, inspired by the radiance of nighttime. The dial is decorated by the Big Dipper and Cassiopeia constellations.

The celestial chronograph is housed in a 41.5m platinum case with a slim bezel. The hand-wound A&S1512 caliber powers the timepiece, which has a 90-hour power reserve.

Mercedes-Benz is innovating the interior of its vehicles with new AI-powered technology. The automaker’s “Hey Mercedes” MBUX Voice Assistant now integrates ChatGPT through Azure OpenAI Service.

Mercedes-Benz’ upgraded, hands-free MBUX Voice Assistant will now be able to answer complex questions, give details about the driver’s destination, and conduct conversations using natural language.

Starting today, this optional beta program will be integrated into 900,000 vehicles’ infotainment systems.

Triumph Motorcycles is making history with its iconic fleet. The British company recently broke a Guinness World Records title with their Tiger 1200 GT Explorer bike. Iván Cervantes – a 5x Enduro World Champion, 5x Spanish Motocross Champion, 21x Spanish Enduro Champion, and Triumph Global Ambassador – was crowned with the record for ‘The greatest distance on a motorcycle in 24 hours (individual)’. With meticulous care, a skilled artisan invisibly sets baguette gems into the case of the bugatti Chiron Baguette timepiece. This challenging task is made more difficult because of the different levels and patterns of the tonneau shaped case. It takes upwards of two months to source gems of the same hues and quality. It takes another two months to cut and polish the gems, which could alter the hues and slow the process.
