I have seen a lot of folks posting their remodels
with a bright white paint/wallpapering. I love them.
My dilemma is I have great kitchen counters I don't
want/need to replace and white is not a great
match. I need warmer tones, but want a more open
and blight feel. I want to paint/wallpaper cabinets/
walls and need some ideas. We removed the
dinette area to furnish as we want. I removed
window cornice boxes. Any pictures and ideas for
using colors other than whites I see such amazing
transformations and would love to see your
results. I need inspiration!! TYIA.

Ok so apparently l'Il need to clarify because just
simply answering my question was too difficult for
some. We're NOT looking for opinions on if we
should keep it. We're ARE looking for remodel
recommendations. We WONT miss the toilet and
shower, we have both camped for decades without
one in our pop up, we're not worried about resale
value, and again we won't regret it. So now that I
cleared that up for everyone please
RECOMMENDATIONS ONLY. If you don't like our
idea or don't agree with it then please move on.
Thank you!

We just got a small RV trailer and plan to remove
the shower and toilet and make the space more
useable -we simply don't want to deal with
emptying and or smell/cleaning it. Anyone else do
the same and have ideas for what we could do
with the space? We're thinking we'l keep the sink
and vanity and then add storage around it but
looking for ideas e maybe make the bunk area
wider, if taking down the separation wall isn't too
difficult? Any thoughts?

We just got our first camper and the fold out
couch in the bunkhouse is awful. Very short so
your feet hang off and due to the cushions slopes
backwards but sleeping the opposite way isn't an
option if you're tall.

My mom has a forest river wildwood 31kabts with
a couch that is a versaqueen (pictured) that I love
and know would fit in our space. l've looked on
forest rivers website and can't find info on it. Does
anyone know where I could purchase this
(manufacturer of it?) or has anyone found
something similar? Love the idea of it folding into
a couch as extra seating when not sleeping as well
as it going on the ground with no fold down legs.

themselves?

Added some backsplash and wallpaper behind the
bed so far! Added some cozy curtains by the bed,
shower curtain and some decor. It's definitely
feeling more cozy since we got it and added our
items and small improvements! Can't wait to paint
the cabinets and walls and redo flooring.. but that
will be next spring.

It seems no matter the price of the RV they come
with a marginal sound system. This was true of
my Montana which came with a Sony component
system (with pretty low end speakers). I moved my
Sonos gear from my sticks and bricks house and
installed them in the RV. The sound bar was
challenging but I was able to remove some of the
factory speakers and fit it behind the factory grill
Nice clean installation.
I stream audio and video via Starlink.
You do not have to settle for lousy sound or tacky
installation.
Tv down below. Enhanced audio playing through
sound bar.

Looky here!! I know many of you were
intrigued, curious, skeptical, etc about my attempt
to whiten my camper shower/tub. Heck, I wasn't
even sure it would work either!

Well....the results are in!!!
learned a lot from this process and will share the
details to help save y'all some sanity!
•The 40 vol creme is VERY irritating to the skin so
good quality gloves are a must!
•A thicker coat applied seemed to work faster.
•I then covered the surface with saran wrap and
found that the plastic needs to be touching the
creme against the tub. If there was air pockets the
creme dried up and didn't lighten as much. This is
VERY important!
•It's windy where I live so I taped the plastic to the
tub so it didn't blow away
•I'm assuming the sunlight did play a huge role in
whitening. My camper is parked under a carport so
it didn't get very hot in there therefore we removed
the tub as well.
•Each piece was out in full sun about 4 hrs for 2
days so @8-9 hrs total. Temp was @90-100°
•I'm not sure if just the heat will work since we
took out the tub, which wasn't hard at all. The hubs
wants to finish the camper by next week and is
impatient, lol.
•Several people mentioned using other products
like Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, mean green, and
regular peroxide so you can try that 1st since it's
much easier. Obviously my tub was super yellow
and we are remodeling anyways so I was willing to
take the risk in case it messed up the tub.
•As far as the finish/texture of the shower/tub,I
have washed both pieces throuahlv and have not
noticed any difference in texture. This may change
over time, but for now it's good.

Overall, 'm glad I tried it! Saved some $$$, time
and energy! Plus I learned it's not called "hair
bleach"! Winner-Winner Chicken Dinner!!Thanks
y'all!

On various forums I read of failed Dometic
Thermostats. Well mine failed too. After looking at
replacement cost I opted to replace it with a Micro
Air smart thermostat. Micro Air makes quite a few
variants for both Dometic and Coleman
thermostats. Before ordering confirm compatibility
with your existing thermostat thermostat on the
Micro Air website.
The micro air replacement for mine supports 4
zones, and has Bluetooth and wifi connectivity. It
works with furnace, ac and heat pumps
I do a lot of business travel and I can check and
set the thermostat from the road.
Installation is very simple.

Almost done updating our '95 Mallard and this is
by far the biggest bang for our $2.48! We painted
the AC unit with white spray paint, it was the color
of the light in front of it. It was soo yellowed and
gross. We have a new white led light coming
tomorrow.

We are considering selling our camper we
remodeled and upgrading to a bigger camper. I'm
just curious what I should sell for. It's a 2005 but
completely remodeled. Any suggestions would be
great...
Update: we are located on Long Island. Most of
the update was cosmetic however we resealed the
windows and gutted the back wall and replaced all
soft spots. We also resealed the roofing. It's a 32
foot gulfstream with a 4' storage cabinet in the
rear of the camper with double doors. We also
replaced the tires on the camper and added
electric winch. I understand the blue book value
however I was hoping the upgrades would make it
worth more. If it's not I'd rather keep it and maybe
rent it out as an option.
