Uptown Anime Club

Uptown Anime Club is New Orleans #1 Anime Club and St. Charles in New Orleans. We have come 5 years from then, still going strong!

Founded By Zoe Hess (Student, Active Club President, founder) and Kalie Indest (Student, ex- VP, co-founder) in early 2009 after a happenstance meeting in the Manga section of the Borders that once stood on Louisiana Ave. After talking for a mere few hours, they quickly came to the conclusion that the uptown area was sorely missing an independent, student funded/run Otaku/Culture club, free to do

as it would. Work began immediately and soon there were bi-weekly meeting being held at local coffee shops. We have attended Mechacon for the duration of the clubs time as a unit, in an annual self-funded fieldtrip.
