1 year ago on a random Tuesday we said “I Do” forever 🤍

We didn’t originally plan on getting legally married in October on a weekday, but it was the BEST decision we could have made.

This past year has been the best year of my life and I have seen God’s hand continually in our marriage every step of the way.

From buying our first home, Lecil starting an amazing new job, my business expanding, having our big wedding celebration in April, and growing our community here in TN as a married couple, I feel so incredibly blessed.

My husband continues to show me every day what unconditional and intentional love looks like. I love growing together, standing by each other’s side every day, and cherishing even the simplest, everyday moments with him.

you’re easy to love. You’re my best friend and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us! 🥂❤️

As an entrepreneur, the pressure of handling your business and clients can be overwhelming, especially when you feel like you are alone in the process. But, listening to advice from other business owners can be such a helpful way to navigate your journey. 👇

➡️ You should be continually patient with yourself in your journey! A lot of magic does not happen overnight – growing a business takes time, and that is nothing to be ashamed of. Have grace on yourself as you try new things, obtain clients, and step into your journey. 

➡️ In this world of comparison, it can be easy to compare yourself to other business owners in your field. But, being an entrepreneur requires that you show up as YOU! Embrace your work, your skills, and your abilities to the fullest, even when it seems hard to do so. 

➡️ Mistakes are an inevitable part of being a business owner. Acknowledging your mistakes and viewing them as opportunities for growth will help you get back on your feet and stay afloat in your journey. Making a mistake is not defining of your potential – they remind us that we are still human. 

➡️ The limits that come with being a business owner can be frustrating, but embracing your limits instead can
give you more freedom and flexibility in your work. It is okay to say no, to start over, and to revisit your mission. Limits and hardships do not have to prevent your work from shining!

➡️ Don’t be afraid to take risks! Some of the best outcomes all started from a half-baked idea and a little faith. Think outside the box to stay motivated, creative, and innovative in your work!

Overall, don’t let the mistakes or uncertainties of being a business owner distract you from why you began in the first place. You are able to accomplish what you set out to do, and never forget that!

Sometimes I find myself explaining what I do because, surprisingly, social media marketing and social media specialists can still be a bit of a mystery to some. So, let’s clear up what social media marketing is not:👇

Have you hard that audio going around “Very demure, very mindful?”

It seems to be EVERYWHERE. Even big brands are using the language.

Here is my take on why I think it took off as trending.

Social media doesn’t always show the behind-the-scenes of EVERYTHING.

Here’s some stuff I struggle with weekly! As a business owner and human, it’s normal. I continually work on all of this but I also learn to acknowledge each feeling as it comes.

I may ruffle some feathers with this one… but having someone in your office managing your social media accounts isn’t the same as hiring a social media specialist. 🤯

Why? Because unless they are a pro in putting together a social media strategy and understanding the ins and outs of social media marketing, your page isn’t going to get the correct brand recognition it needs.

Having a bad day? I’ve been there.🙃About a month ago my husband created this representation for me after I had a really hard day at my job.

He came home to me in bed, crying. After he held me while I cried, he showed me this presentation he made. 🤍

It completely changed the way I viewed my bad day! When you look at your bad days in a big picture, it shifts things.

So from the words of my husband: don’t judge yourself on something that is such a small factor in your life. You’ve got so much time.❤️
