We put our hearts and souls into every record we work on, and it's disappointing when our contributions go unrecognized.
But we're grateful for companies like muso.ai & Jaxsta who are fighting for proper credits in the industry. Seeing the streaming metrics on Muso is a great reminder that our hard work does matter, and can help the records we work on reach billions of people around the world.

One year ago today joined our little team at as an intern and earlier this year he stepped into an assistant engineer role.

He’s one of the most talented guys I know, he’s got great ears, is a fantastic musician, and has a great work ethic. I’m beyond grateful to get to work with him everyday.

found this coffee table for us about a year before we even started construction on the new studio.

A woman had it posted on the free section of Craigslist. We went to pick it up and the woman told us the history… her grandfather was part of a crew in the late 1950s that was remodeling the Tennessee state capitol building (built in 1859), they were removing some marble from the original building so he took one of the giant marble slabs home and built a coffee table with it. It stayed in her family since but she didn’t want to move it since it weighs a few hundred pounds so she gave it to us.

It’s cool to have a part of Nashville history as the centerpiece in our A Room.

Over the years I’ve noticed some things in common with the records that really resonate with me. There’s usually an authenticity to them. That often happens when the song, the artist, the production, and the sonics all work together to tell a single story. When even just one of those elements are off, it can act as a barrier between the listener and the song.

I try to always listen to a mix emotionally before I listen technically. This can help identify any sonic barriers that may be getting in the way of the story. It could be acoustic guitars that have a sterile top end, causing the groove to feel awkward or an emotional lyric that’s fighting against the width of a mix. I try to not put my agenda on the master, but let the song tell me what it wants to do.

“I’m really proud of how this album turned out. The band and producer attended mastering for 2 days to close out the record. I believe my role is to take records across the finish line whatever that entails. On this album, we did arrangement changes, tempo changes, intentionally distorted a few bars and mixed in some robots talking. I absolutely love my job, and it’s even better when we get to work on killer records like this one.”
