Decay/Decade
The last ten years have been a cruel education. A somber and searing reflection, but one which leaves me stronger for the righteous fight ahead. I hope that this is how you receive this music.
Through these songs I’ve been able to come out of the shadows of ghosts and walk beside them. It’s a kind of mutual haunting which is the only kind I can abide. My dad died of liver cancer in 2015, and shortly thereafter I had a health problem that didn’t really fully resolve itself, though most of it stemmed from the ridiculous stress and anxiety my grief had brought with it. This, plus my general bad attitude and failure to be kind led to my last band breaking up. Then, I left my wife and partner of over 15 years. All the while we were raising our daughter who was born in 2014 in the coldest month ever. When she came out she had trouble breathing.
I’m finishing up my first album in about a week or two, and I hope to have it available on the internet for free shortly after that. Please listen and share with me the risen dead.
