A New Brunswick, NJ rapper on his way to the recording studio made a detour Tuesday night to save a teenager who was apparently trapped on a roof.

He said he heard a teen girl crying while on his way to a recording session in East Orange, and jumped into action. Jorge is said to have reunited the girl with her mother.

Boston Baking Inc. says it is recalling its 3-ounce, individually wrapped packages of "Boston Baking Mini Cinnamon Crumb Cakes" food snacks because people who have allergies to pecans run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the products.

The recalled cakes were sold in stores across the northeast including Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.

Police in Jersey City are investigating a domestic violence aggravated assault incident reported around 12:39 a.m. in the 20's block of Wallis Avenue.

Police responded to the address after receiving reports of a pedestrian strike, and when they arrived, officers found an injured female at that location.

It was later determined that her boyfriend was the driver of the vehicle she was struck by. (Via RLS MEDIA)

A total of 16 people have been infected, and 13 have been hospitalized, according to reports from six states including New York & New Jersey. One death was reported in Maryland; another person became ill while pregnant and lost their baby, the CDC said in a statement.
