Folds of Honor Celebrity Golf Tournament
The Folds of Honor Celebrity Golf Tournament, held at Lake Nona Country Club near Orlando, Florida on Veterans Day 2024 played host to the launch of the new Volition America by Gurkha 💨
Every member of the full field of ex-military, celebrities, and tournament participants received a sample pack of the newly released cigar as well as a branded dual-torch lighter.
The cigar, a collaboration between Volition America and Gurkha Ci**rs, is available in 3 wrappers, Connecticut, Habano, and Maduro.
The number 13 plays a big part in the branding, a reference to the 13 folds of the American flag handed to the families of fallen soldiers. The ci**rs are packed 13 to a box, retail for $13, and 13% of the revenue generated by the cigar's sales goes to Folds of Honor, an organization that takes care of the families of fallen or disabled military and first-responders.
The tournament was kicked off with Lake Nona Pipe & Drums, a flag ceremony, the national anthem, and even a skydive show on #18 fairway by Legacy Expeditions' team of retired special forces. For golf, each team was paired with a celebrity player the likes of Ken Griffey Jr., Johnny Damon, Calvin Johnson, and Gary Sheffield among the many.
The star-studded event along with the gala and private concert the night before, raised funds for Folds of Honor but if you'd like to help, visit the website www.foh.org and donate or ask for the Volition America by Gurkha at your local cigar retailer.
