The Elevator:
Job interview for projection design, mapping of an environment. So it was a ride in an elevator her name was June creative director of the entire experience. There were holograms and images throughout the entire scene. I was so interested, remember I was trapped in an elevator. Suddenly a woman passed by jogging and she tried to get me out, she couldn't... she left a warning " get out as soon as you can" I stood patient. I will ride it out see what will happen. June comes over the intercom inside the elevator and says are you ready? I said ready for what? She says for what comes next. here pinch the inside of your hand. I did and I had the ability to project images to the facade of the storefront. This ride was not done yet. It gets weird... I was over it and I said I have to go... she said were not done yet... Cops show up and all of a sudden poison gas starts to emit from the vents they were all down. At this point, I start to panic. I demanded to be set free. She said yeah give me a minute were printing a check for you 3k. I was pacified for a bit. 4 hours later I am still in the elevator. Nothing worked anymore. Power outage. She comes over the intercom and says how are you, Mr. Angel? I said I am over this experience. I offer a resign. Then you're free to go. The door opens I leave. I look back and 3 years had gone by. What the hell just happened?

Cass was the youngest and most beautiful of 5 sisters. Cass was the most beautiful girl in town. 1/2 Indian with a supple and strange body, a snake-like and fiery body with eyes to go with it. Cass was fluid moving fire. She was like a spirit stuck into a form that would not hold her. Her hair was black and long and silken and whirled about as did her body. Her spirit was either very high or very low. There was no in between for Cass. Some said she was crazy. The dull ones said that. The dull ones would never understand Cass. To the men she was simply a s*x machine and they didn't care whether she was crazy or not. And Cass danced and flirted, kissed the men, but except for an instance or two, when it came time to make it with Cass, Cass had somehow slipped away, eluded the men.

Once a guy stood all day shaking bugs from his hair. The doctor told him there were no bugs in his hair. After he had taken a shower for eight hours, standing under hot water hour after hour suffering the pain of the bugs, he got out and dried himself, and he still had bugs in his hair; in fact, he had bugs all over him. A month later he had bugs in his lungs.

Having nothing else to do or think about, he began to work out theoretically the life cycle of the bugs, and, with the aid of the Britannica, try to determine specifically which bugs they were. They now filled his house. He read about many different kinds and finally noticed bugs outdoors, so he concluded they were aphids. After that decision came to his mind it never changed, no matter what other people told him ... like "Aphids don't bite people."

They said that to him because the endless biting of the bugs kept him in torment. At the 7-11 grocery store, part of a chain spread out over most of California, he bought spray cans of Raid and Black Flag and Yard Guard. First he sprayed the house, then himself. The Yard Guard seemed to work the best.

As to the theoretical side, he perceived three stages in the cycle of the bugs. First, they were carried to him to contaminate him by what he called Carrier-people, which were people who didn't understand their role in distributing the bugs. During that stage the bugs had no jaws or mandibles (he learned that word during his weeks of scholarly research, an unusually bookish occupation for a guy who worked at the Handy Brake and Tire place relining people's brake drums). The Carrier-people therefore felt nothing. He used to sit in the far corner of his living room watching different Carrier-people enter--most of them people he'd known for a while, but some new to him--covered with the aphids in this particular nonbiting stage. He'd sort of smile to himself, because he knew that the person was being used by the bugs and wasn't hip to it.

First book client penciled in. This is a strong vein for an incredible book series. I have not been this excited since I heard they are rebooting He-Man and Mark Hammil is voicing Skeletor.
