On August 16, 1977, God created a magnificent masterpiece with a unique gift to minister to people of all ages. Stephen L. Lewis was born twenty five minutes later than his twin sister, Stephanie Renee Moore, to the parentage of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Shirley Lewis in Memphis, TN.

Being raised in a strong family with a solid foundation for Christ, Steve’s gift became his passion and he was encouraged to share it with all that wanted to hear. As most little boys start, Steve first honed his gifts in band at Fayette Ware Comprehensive High School. But where the amazing light within him really shined was at the family’s home church of Wright Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Fisherville, TN. At first, the sparkle in his eye was the drums. But as the young man in him matured, his desire and passion to learn and do more musically within the church became a goal he was determined to achieve. It wasn’t long before Steve transitioned from drummer, to bass player to what God has shown in him today. The spirit of the man we know as Steve “Guitarman” Lewis is definitely a joy to witness. Musically and vocally anointed in spreading God’s word, he’s a blessing to experience and one to watch rise higher in this gospel quartet genre. Today Steve is known as one of the best vocalist and professional lead guitar players in the state of Tennessee.

Currently, lead guitar player and 2nd lead vocalist of Ecko Records national recording artist, The Echoaires, Steve’s credits are minimal to what great works God has planned for him. He’s had the opportunity to record and play with such groups as Norman McFerrin & Simple Praise (Recorded), Fayette Ware Comprehensive High School Gospel Choir ( Recorded), Johnson Aires of Memphis, TN, Christian Young Men of Rossville, TN (Recorded), The Holy Nightingales of Mason, TN, Mt. Zion Piperton Male Chorus (Recorded), Lisa Knowles & The Brown Singers (Recorded) of Memphis, TN, Dr. Andrew Cheairs & The Gospel Songbirds of Byhalia, MS, Mr. Lee Williams of The Spiritual QC’s of Tupelo, MS, Pastor Tim Rogers & The Fellas of Blytheville, AR, Voices of Heaven of Bolivar ,TN and The Gospel Miracles of Ashland, TN. Also to his credit, Steve was honored with SCM Gospel 2011 Musician of The Year Award also 2time winner or theGolden Triangle Award for Internet Radio Personality of the year for 2019 & 2020 .

A father and a husband, married to LaToya Lewis, Steve stays busy on his journey toward destiny. He is an active member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Somerville, TN where he plays guitar every Sunday morning under the leadership of Pastor George Hester, Sr. He also plays for Morning View Missionary Baptist Church in Eads,TN where Erby D. Price,Sr. is the pastor. Being creative in his ministry has afforded Steve to have many doors opened. To his acclaim Steve is the DJ of Church House Radio which can be heard live every Monday morning Thru Friday at 2pm CST. An accomplished graphic designer, videographer, producer and studio engineer, don’t blink because this amazing phenomenon has just begun to show God’s purpose in his life. When asked what he would like to do next, Steve simply replies, “To Live the Life That’s Pleasing in Gods Eye Sight”.
