One out of 59 adult citizens is disenfranchised due to a current or previous felony convictions.

And one of 22 African Americans of voting age is disenfranchised, according to a new report from The Sentencing Project.

Overall, an estimated 4 million Americans will be unable to vote in the 2024 election due to laws banning people with felony convictions from voting.
