‼️ Another day, another Instagram update.

So Instagram announced that they will be removing our ability to follow hashtags. So does that mean it will no longer benefit us to add hashtags to our posts?

Long story short: No. if you are putting content on the Instagram platform, you still want to utilize hashtag strategy and add hashtags to your posts. Hashtags are still important for helping the algorithm understand and categorize your content. And they are still clickable so you can get discoverability there.

The “following” of hashtags has been dead for a while even though technically the feature still exists, so though this feature will be gone, it won’t change much for us as creators and professionals.

This might be a hard pill for some out there to swallow, but…

There’s a difference between being inspired by someone and copying someone.

We live in a digital age. We comsume lots of content. Sometimes, it just might be hard to tell the difference between inspiration and, well… just flat out copying another creator or someone you watch and are inspired by.

It might be hard for you to tell the difference, but trust me… it’s not hard for someone else to. When you take “inspiration” from someone, don’t forget to make sure you aren’t just copying another creator. Whether it’s their style or just their flat out verbiage.

There’s enough room for us all to succeed - but in order for you to stand out from the pack you have to do just that. Be 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭.

Yes, even as a professional, I HATE meta business suite. Like if I had a burn book it would go in there. It crashes, it glitches, and my number one issue with it: it changes every 5 minutes. You think you have a handle on it, and then… BOOM. You don’t.

So if you hate , you are not alone. The only difference is, I HAVE to keep up with it, and chances are you probably don’t. So be thankful, and hire a social media manager 🤣
