Dave Anthony (The Dollop), Graham Elwood (Comedy Film Nerds), and Chris Mancini (Comedy Film Nerds) founded the festival in 2012. Our annual festival unites podcasters, their special guests, fans, and the podcasting industry to celebrate all things podcasting. Launched on Kickstarter five years ago as a comedy-centric festival, over the years, the growing event has expanded to include additional p

odcast genres. It’s all about eliminating the middleman and having the broadcaster talk directly to the audience. Just the talent and the audience. So why not put them all together for a weekend? We wanted to start the Los Angeles Podcast Festival to shove podcasters and fans together in a small enclosed space. To mingle. To love. In addition to live podcasts and a huge standup show, you can hang out and meet your favorite podcasters in the Podcast Lounge, hit up a party or two, and take in panels about podcasting hosted by experts from both sides of the curtain. It’s a celebration of podcasts, podcasters, and most importantly, of the fan. We’ll see you in the fall!

Less than 60 hours left! (Don’t really love that kickstarter switches to hours instead of days 3 days before the end of the campaign. Why add the extra stress?!) We’re REALLY CLOSE but still need a few more fantasy and comedy fans to get over the top. Pledge and make the elves (and humans) happy.

Got about a week to go to make the goal for Long Ago and Far Away on Kickstarter. So interestingly this time next week I will either be joyfully relaxed or quietly sullen. Check it out if you like fantasy, comedy, wizards, warriors, nerds, cosplay, zombies, elves, sexy witches and poor judgment. Got a great team on this one too.
