Purpose: To visually highlight the education and cultural heritage of the Day of the Dead celebration.

Proposal Requirements:

Artist Information: Include your name and contact information.

Transformation Plan: Provide a detailed proposal on how you would transform the Red Room to educate and celebrate the heritage of the Day of the Dead. Highlight the educational components in your visual representation.

References: Include any references that support your proposal.

Examples of Work: Submit examples of your previous work that demonstrate your ability to execute the proposed project.

Program Timeline:

Residency Period: Work in the space throughout September and October.

Discovery Saturday: Artists are required to be present on October 19th from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Gallery Hop: Participation required on September 20th from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Final Presentation: Available on November 1st from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Funding:

Total Compensation: $1,000 for the two months.

Payment Schedule: Half of the funds will be provided at the beginning of the project, and the remaining half upon completion.

Submission Details:

Deadline for Proposals: August 26th

Selection Criteria:

A successful proposal will creatively integrate educational elements into the visual representation of the Day of the Dead celebration, reflecting its cultural significance and heritage.

Celebrating a New Milestone for B-WOW! Literacy Programs

We are thrilled to announce that Project Ricochet has received headsets as part of the America’s Healthiest Generation Walking Classroom initiative! This exciting addition to our B-WOW! Literacy programs will enhance our efforts to empower youth through innovative learning experiences that combine physical activity with education.

The Walking Classroom provides a unique way to engage students by incorporating lessons into their daily walks, promoting both mental and physical well-being. These headsets will enable our participants to explore a variety of topics while staying active, fostering a holistic approach to education that supports academic achievement and health.
