Good morning/afternoon all! We have important information about a recall announced by Walmart:

Just over 2,000 cases of chicken broth sold at Walmart have been recalled due to a packaging issue that could lead to product spoilage, according to a spokesperson for Walmart.

The product, family-sized, 48-ounce cartons of Great Value Chicken Broth, are sold in aseptic paper cartons that could “compromise the sterility of the product, resulting in spoilage,” according to an announcement posted on the Food and Drug Administration’s website.

Altogether, 2,023 cases have been recalled, according to the announcement.

The recalled products were sold in 242 stores in nine states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas, Walmart said Monday morning.

Here we go again folks! We're about to get hit by yet another winter storm. This warning is for east central, north central, northwest and south central Kentucky, beginning Friday morning at 4am ET/3am CT and will run till 7am ET/6am CT Saturday morning.

Heavy snow is expected. Total accumulations of 3-6 inches likely.

Roads, especially bridges and overpasses will become slick and hazardous.

Travel could be very dangerous during this storm, so please, do not be out unless absolutely necessary.

Happy Sunday, Roosters! Pretty much the entire State of Kentucky is under a winter storm warning at this point. We're getting snow/ice/sleet from Winter Storm Blair. Conditions are extremely hazardous and you should stay home unless absolutely necessary!

There have been numerous traffic accidents reported all over the state as a result of this storm, so PLEASE use extreme caution if you must travel.

If the ice gets as bad as predicted, power outages may occur. Do your best to prepare for this. We'll do everything we can to keep you updated!

We've got important information to pass along. Kroger as issued a recall on Lays Classic Potato Chips!

On Tuesday, December 17, Kroger posted a notice online that Lays Classic Potato Chips has been recalled in 13-ounce packages. The reason for the recall, as stated: “The product may contain milk and, if eaten, could result in severe allergic reactions in persons sensitive to milk.”

Kroger’s posting indicated that recalled Lays Classic Potato Chips product details are as follows:

“Guaranteed Fresh Size,” 13 oz.
UPC number: 28400-31041
Expiration dates

11 FEB 2025 (lot number 6462307xx)
11 FEB 2025 (lot number 6463307xx)

If you have these items...get rid of them!!

Hey Roosters! Just wanted to let everyone know...Spectrum is doing a lot of work in the area to upgrade the system to fiber optic. Apparently, it's causing periodic "dropouts" in our signal across the interweb. It's quite annoying and we apologize, but it's beyond our control. Hopefully things will be cleared up soon.

Hey folks! We hope everyone is faring well during this bad storm. The high wind warning for Kentucky runs through 8pm ET tonight and could cause a lot of damage. It will likely bring down trees and power lines, which will result in widespread power outages.

The heavy rains could cause flooding, especially in low lying areas. Stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Standing water could be much deeper and faster moving than you think.

If we lose power here at the station, we'll do our best to provide updates right here on Facebook.

Good morning, Roosters!

As the remnants of Hurrican Helene move into the Kentucky area, we'll get high winds, heavy rains and potential flooding. Watch out for downed trees and power lines. Use caution if you're going to be out and about today. If it's not necessary to be out, STAY HOME! We want everyone to be as safe as possible.

With the extreme weather passing through our area, many schools across the state have closed for today. Check all current listings on The Rooster website. We'll update it as we get more information. You can also check out the latest weather on our site as well.
