Did you know you can bring your solar telescope on April 8?

We will have designated areas at each watch party location where you can set up your solar telescope. In addition, volunteers from the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri will bring solar telescopes to the Uptown Jackson watch party for people to use!

The Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri, based in St. Charles County, is primarily an outreach organization helping to foster the love of astronomy and educate the public on the night sky and space. ASEM has a weekly open house at Broemmelsiek Park where the public can come and look at the beauty of the sky through their telescopes and learn from ASEM members. They regularly work with groups like the St. Charles Library, St. Charles County Parks, Weldon Spring Site Interpretive Center, Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts. More information about the organization can be found at www.asemonline.org.
