Watch the video of this precious little girl who is sponsored by Jan and Steve Burk of Jackson. Mr. Burk recently traveled to Haiti with The New McKendree United Methodist Church mission team where he met the little girl they sponsor. Since Jan was unable to make the trip, she sent a video of herself singing to her. When Mr. Burk showed her the video and asked if she would like to send a video back...this is her reply. Mr. Burk said his Creole is not very good, but he believes she is singing, Happy Birthday! About 70 families from New McKendree sponsor children through Compassion International. See the complete story in this week's edition.
Tonight and tomorrow see this film which was shot locally (in Cape Girardeau). Just $5 gets you in the door and in a seat at Rose Theater on campus of Southeast Missouri State University.
