o showcase the skills of your student-athlete. Our experienced team of videographers can shoot and edit game footage into an effective video package for use as a marketing tool, a key part of the puzzle in connecting your student-athlete to potential college recruiters, coaches and scholarships. Singleton Video makes that connection easy. Your video package includes the creation of a website from one of our design templates and hosted by our server. Upload your student-athlete game videos to your website and email the web link to a coach or recruiter, it’s that easy. No more burning multiple DVD’s or mailing hard copies, which is time consuming and not always the best return on your investment of resources. Even if your student-athlete isn’t the next LeBron James, Tamika Catchings or Gabby Douglas, a video package from Singleton Video still makes sense. Here’s why: You may not be interested in catching the eye of college coaches, but you are creating memories to last forever. A video of your student-athlete today becomes a cherished keepsake and gift to be shared and enjoyed by friends and the entire family for years to come. If anyone had a right to question whether our democracy was worth redeeming, it was Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Because in the face of billy clubs and lynchings, poll taxes and literacy tests, he never gave in to violence, never waved a traitorous flag, never gave up on the country he called home, despite all of the injustices and indignities it brought upon him.

Instead, he set out to realize his dream the most effective—and the most radical—way he knew how, by working with others to march, boycott, and sit in, recognizing that, as he said, “Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

The seeds of his courage, his discipline, his vision, and the resilience of all who joined with him took years to bear fruit. But they gave us the Civil Rights Act. The Voting Rights Act. And an American tradition of nonviolent resistance that has rung through the generations, as we saw this summer when Americans of all races echoed his example in standing up to declare that Black Lives Matter—no more but also no less.

On , we celebrate his life but we’re also called to live out his values through service of our own. Here are some ways you can get involved in your community: bideninaugural.org/day-of-service/

We’re in the middle of a tough chapter for our country, but should serve as a reminder that we have been through tough times before—and emerged from them stronger. But only because we never stopped believing in our democracy. Only because we never stopped working to perfect it. And only because, even in the face of intimidation, discrimination, and unimaginable suffering, we never stopped dreaming of a better day—and never stopped doing the long, hard, essential work of ushering it in.

Warrior Nation, I wanted to take the time to personally thank our former Boys Basketball Head Coach, Criss Beyers, for four historic years of unprecedented success. Criss and his family will always hold a special place in the hearts of Far Eastsiders. Criss was a long time assistant coach that paid his dues. In the spring of 2015, the most unlikely coach at the beginning of the process was giving an opportunity to turnaround a basketball program. In just 4 years, Criss led us to a record of 86-18, a 46 game win streak and our first state championship in Boys Basketball. I know that many of you are still in shock that Criss is leaving the Warrior Nation for another opportunity. However, my focus the last 48 hours has been to say thank you. Thank you Criss Beyers for making WC Boys Basketball a state and nationally recognized program. Again, thank you!!

With that being said, we will now move forward. The focus is to build upon our championship foundation. Over the next month, we will conduct a search process, interviews, final interviews and make a recommendation to our Superintendent and School Board. We will only pursue candidates that will be the best fit for our Boys Basketball student athletes, school, parents, community, the Far Eastside and will embrace the Warrior values displayed by our proud alumni base. I promise all of you that we will work hard and dillegently on this process. If any of our Warrior Alumni have questions about the future of our Boys Basketball program, please don’t hesitate to send me an email. The future is always bright in the Warrior Nation and like we always say, Tradition Never Graduates.

-Marques Clayton (Warren Central Athletic Director)
