Last night was mad real.

When things start off as an idea it takes a bit of insanity to continue to cultivate it and turn it into reality. When you are trying to build something that you haven’t personally seen been done and it feels like nobody believes in you (although you know some do) it requires a different type of self talk to keep you going. In those darkest moments when you’re not only trying to be understood but you’re trying to understand yourself you HAVE to keep faith or it will turn into fear real quick. Imposter syndrome will do you in and have you feeling like you’re not good enough or you’re trying to live a life not meant for you.

Last night showed imposter syndrome that it has no power over my reality.

The reality is my family showed up for me.

The reality is my friends showed up for me.

The reality is my community showed up for me.

The reality is God showed up for me.

The First Annual Holiday Ball made me feel like it’s time to level up.

Y’all push me to want to be better.
