Frontman discussed the progress of the band's next album in an interview with Czech Republic's Metalshop TV, stating:

"We're kind of in a situation right now where what I mentioned [earlier in the interview] about the last record having the time from the pandemic, that was amazing. And I feel like it's so obvious that that's the biggest factor why the last record was what it was. So, to me, I'm just, like, well, thankfully we're in a period of our career right now where I hope that we can afford that kind of time away where fans are, like, they understand that that's why we're gone because we're putting the time towards the album to make the best album we can make.

"Doing an album in 3 months just is not realistic anymore, at least not for us. And that's what we were used to back in the day. But that's not our reality anymore. We're taking our time with it. We're doing tours in between. And honestly, when it's done, it's done. I have no date that I'm announcing. It WILL be next year, that's for sure. But I'm not even thinking about a date. I'm just writing the coolest songs that we could write. And we're really excited about what we have."

The and guitarist has shared a cover of the song "Livin' On The Edge", and also released a music video inspired by the 1993 film "Falling Down" to go along with it.

Doc Coyle talked about why he chose such an iconic song as his debut single, stating:

"The story of how I came to cover Aerosmith's classic tune 'Livin' On The Edge' is a pecluliar one. I am a massive Aerosmith fan, but as an avid teenage MTV viewer, I truly identify with the records they made during the 90s. During the pandemic, I recorded an instrumental of the song for Bad Wolves, but we didn't have a singer. It was suggested that I lay down vocals for the song. I was intimidated but also enthused by opportunity.

Ultimately, the band did not want to release the song, so I decided to keep it for myself."

DJ is in the hospital after a burn pile accident

He shared to his social media from the hospital, stating:

"Hey everybody. I had an explosion in my face. I'm OK. But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms."

In a video, he explained that he was undergoing x-rays to see if he had inhaled any flames and suffered internal injuries. In a follow-up, Wilson revealed he was being transported to a different facility that was better suited to treat his burns.

Wilson's wife, reveald on her Instagram stories that Wilson suffered his injury while tending to burn piles on their farm property.

Wilson's bandmates in Slipknot also issued a statement, sharing:

"Our brother Sid WIlson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body. He's recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon."

Prior to the band's show that night, comedian Craig Grass broke the news stating:

We are recording our first ever live album right here at First Avenue. So, there's a couple things you need to know about it. have postponed their upcoming tour with , , and after vocalist suffered an unknown medical emergency.

He posted an official statement reading:

"With a heavy heart, let me tell you a story about life taking a turn, I'm writing to you from my bed.

"I've been running 6 miles daily, I've been rehearsing two hours daily in my home studio and excited to hit the road, I'm excited to get on the bus with my brothers and sister and my crew, I'd never felt better and as you all know I fought back hard after long haul Covid tried to kill me.

"Saturday morning I woke up and I was coming up my stairs. I saw flashes in my eyes. I passed out and my wife revived me. My vitals were through the roof, and I was sheet white and vomiting, and the whole world was spinning. Anahstasia called 911. I ended up in the back of an ambulance and did nine hours in the ER testing all my vitals including taking X-rays of my heart and lungs. My doctor has advised me to get a cat scan, and until further testing, I am on bedrest and must postpone the Tour. Our agent sprung into action to rebook this tour for March 2025, and until we can figure out what the f**k medically is happening.
