There are TWO types of older adults: Those who make an awkward effort to keep up with new slang and trends . . . and those who have ZERO FIG NEWTONS TO GIVE. (Have 'em figure out that one.)

The website Unscrambler used Google Trends to compile a list of the most-searched slang for 2024 . . . from between January 1st up through October 25th.

Not surprisingly, "demure" is #1, which became a popular meme on TikTok.

Evansville, Indiana firefighters recently saved four cats from a structure fire. A neighbor spotted smoke and called 911. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and rescued the felines. One witness stated, "It was a relief to see the cats safe and unharmed."

Pascal Siakam scored the last of his 29 points on a 3-pointer with 6.1 seconds left in overtime to give the Indiana Pacers a 135-132 victory over the previously unbeaten Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.

Siakam tied his single-game career high with six 3s and grabbed 11 rebounds. Bennedict Mathurin scored 21 of his 30 points in the second half, and Tyrese Haliburton had 17 points and 12 assists.

It's Indiana's second win of the season.
