"FIND THE PURPLE BOX"
Had the opportunity at to go through training on the use of Naxolone (NARCAN) and to receive one of the first of these ONEbox created by Murphy Media for use in emergency situations when an overdose due to opioids occurs. The ONEbox contains a tutorial video on how to administer naxolone and can be restocked after a use. If you should encounter someone you believe to be in the middle of an overdose in our vicinity, come inside and ask for "THE PURPLE BOX". Nothing more needs to be said. Just please bring it back afterwards so that we can restock it and have it ready for the next emergency.

Let's talk about naloxone! We are proud to co-sponsor the next TWO Happy HouRx conversations with WV Drug Intervention Institute, Inc. to talk about naloxone in West Virginia.

May 12th at 7pm our guests will be Dr. Susan Bissett, President WV Drug Intervention Institute, Inc.; Joe Murphy, Murphy Media CEO and ONEBox Creator, and Jan Rader, Director of Mayor’s Council on Public Health and Drug Control Policy, City of Huntington. The topic will be the ONEbox, a unique and first-of-its-kind, all-in-one, emergency naloxone rescue kit designed to be placed in buildings including workplaces, schools, universities, sports arenas, and anywhere the public gathers. Learn more about this project created right here in West Virginia and how it could expand education and access throughout the Mountain State.

June 8th at 7pm, we'll be talking with Drs. Susan Bissett, President WV Drug Intervention Institute, Inc., Dr. Gretchen Kreckel Garofoli, Associate Professor with the WVU School of Pharamcy and Dr. Thomas E Menighan, APhA - American Pharmacists Association CEO Emeritus and WVU School of Pharmacy Assistant Dean for Community Engagement, about the Nalox(one) West Virginia Opioid Stewardship Program to educate West Virginians about the dangers of opioids in the home and prevent overdose deaths through opioid screening, naloxone distribution, and medication disposal efforts.

Today is the day! Save-a-Life Day! You can pick up free Naloxone (aka Narcan) for a loved one or friend at over a dozen locations across Kanawha and Putnam Counties. Narcan is an easy-to-use opioid overdose antidote. Anyone can be a Lifesaver!
