Looking to make a difference this tax season? 📞 United Way of the River Cities is seeking volunteers to help answer calls and schedule VITA appointments. This is a great opportunity for retirees, those needing community service hours, or anyone wanting to give back.

We are looking for some volunteers to help us answer calls and schedule VITA appointments this tax season. This would be perfect office work for someone retired or someone looking for community service hours, but anyone is welcome to volunteer!

This work would take place in the United Way offices located at 820 Madison Ave., Huntington. Volunteers would be responsible for answering phone calls or returning voicemails and scheduling tax clients on our super easy online platform.

Many of us may look forward to Christmas Eve traditions, like baking cookies or going to the movies with family. Some may take their family out to a nice dinner or make a last minute run to the grocery store.

Whatever your tradition, take a moment to appreciate the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) workers who make it all possible. These dedicated individuals are behind the counters, registers in theaters and serving/cooking meals to help ensure a pleasant experience - yet many are unable to afford life’s basics.
