We tend to think of Marshall University sometimes as an island within the city of Huntington, but those students, faculty, staff, and administrators live right here in the same city as the rest of us.

I know when I was a student at Marshall, I absolutely idolized my professors. Now, 23 years later, a large percentage of my friend circle is MU professors and they’re all regular Huntingtonians like you and me.

I can assure you that while a Berkeley education may prepare you to teach at Marshall, it does NOT prepare you to live in Huntington, West Virginia. No matter where they came from, or what their education level, we have driven damn-near all of them crazy.
