Foster Botanical Garden in Downtown Honolulu has short paved pathways within their grounds, benches for quiet contemplation, and is part of the system.

Right now, their usually robust display is off season though a couple of potted beauties were seen in the hothouse!

There is a nominal fee for this location and you can ask for a pamphlet that maps the areas of interest and they are reintroducing docent-led tours 😀

WHAT...Surf building to 25 to 35 feet along north facing shores and 20 to 25 feet along west facing shores.

* WHERE...North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and north facing shores of Maui.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Saturday (12/21/2024)

* IMPACTS...High. Expect very strong breaking waves and powerful currents. Waves breaking in channel entrances may make navigating the channels dangerous.

Instruction:
Stay away from the shoreline along the affected coasts. Be prepared for road closures. Postpone entering or leaving channels affected by the high surf until the surf subsides.

Affected areas:
Niihau; Kauai Southwest; Waianae Coast; Oahu North Shore; Maui Windward West; Kauai North; Molokai Windward; Molokai North; Molokai West; Maui Central Valley North; Windward Haleakala
