Our very own Dixie Burmeister has been nominated for the Colorado Tourism Office Jack Snow award to be awarded at this year's Governor's Conference. The Jack Snow Award recognizes an individual who has volunteered their time by promoting Colorado and provides exemplary customer service.

Dixie has over 40 years of volunteer service and has worked tirelessly to promote Palisade tourism. She is one of the big reasons that Palisade is as well known as it is. The Palisade Peach Festival is a nationally recognized event that brings people in from all over. Dixie has helped plan, promote, and execute the festival since the early 1980's.

Dixie has done so much more, like supporting Olde Fashioned Christmas, the Honey Bee Festival, and the list just goes on and on. We could not think of a more perfect candidate for this award. Congratulations on your nomination, Dixie!

Party on the Mountain this Saturday at Powderhorn Resort

Escape to the Mesa this Saturday, Aug 17 for our eighth annual Gears & Beers party 🚴‍♀️🌭🍻We’ve got an uphill race at 8, live music, lift rides, and drinks pouring at 11, a downhill race on Prospector at 1, and more live music at 2.

Scenic Lift Rides, food specials, commemorative glasses, and drink tickets will be available on-mountain.
