We were stoked to apply our craft to this spot for ! We wanted to illustrate how many different pieces of equipment are packaged up into this one simple device. We started by modeling out over fifteen of Fender's products in 3D, and then animated them to float around the musician. The final result, featuring Dan Geraghty, the guitarist from Twenty One Pilots, is an out of this world piece, that, with the help of these animations and a couple of strategically placed titles, illustrates how much value is gained with Fender's new Tone Master Pro. As a huge OG FFVII fan since highschool, we're particularly proud of this crossover project we did a few years back for the launch of the game remake. We created some rad 3D renders of the HyperX Cloudflight headset and cut it to some original in game scenes. Pretty excited to share this project! We're pretty big Battle Star Galactica fans so when the opportunity came along to work on a game trailer for the new Battle Star Galactica: Eternity game came along, we jumped on it pretty quick. The wait to be able to share it has been the hardest part of the project!

At the tail end of 2021, we needed a new home for 9iFX. In its original state, this new home required some upgrades and TLC. So, we got out our tools, rolled up our sleeves, and spent most of 2022 working on it. Here's a glimpse of the transformation the front room of space underwent. It's so hard to believe it used to have ceiling tiles and industrial carpet now. If you're in Portland, come on by and check it out!

Sometimes it's fun to take a step back from all of the ultra high-res projects that we normally produce and get back to basics. Check out these animated stills we created for the 8bit fantasy slasher game, Hammerwatch II. We love a good 8bit game at 9iFX, so this was a particularly fun campaign to jump into. Also, who doesn't love dragons?!

We're not sure what we liked about this campaign more - the final product, or the R&D phase at the beginning where we got to actually eat these tasty vegan meals. Big thanks to the Wicked Kitchen crew for stocking the pantry at the new 9iFX HQ!

POST PRODUCTION PRODUCER

9iFX is a full service post production studio based in Portland, Oregon. We’re a small team doing big things. We service big, fun clients, such as Nike, VH1, Call of Duty, Adidas, Intel, Kind Bar, NBC, just to name a few, as well as working with many smaller brands. Our specialty is VFX and Motion Graphics but we offer most post services working in the Film, TV, TVC, and web/social spaces. We love working on projects that expand our skillset, excite the team, and push the technological frontier. We also love work-life balance whenever possible and do our best to plan for the unexpected so we don’t lose our evenings; unless we’re working on something exciting enough to be energized into the night.

Currently we are looking to add an extremely organized, personable, professional, and skilled producer to our team to grow with us as we expand further into the new decade.

Overview:

The Post Production Producer will report to, and partner closely with the Founders & Managing Director for 9iFX, and really the whole team. This role will focus on client relations and project management.

This is a combo remote & in-person position with regular (video) meetings (remote for now but we’ll be in the office soon enough allowing for both in-house and remote time).

Classification:

Part-time to Full-time. The Post Production Producer will be on-call throughout business hours but you’ll find a lot of down time between action (at least at first). And since you’ll be managing the schedule, you can plan for flexibility in your day.

Primary responsibilities:

Oversee post-production timelines, manage schedules, budgets, overall project organization, oversee development of all assets, manage quality control with Creative Director and managing final delivery
Ensure requirements and project deliverables and dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed on time and on budget.
Support Principal & Managing Director with estimates and invoicing and tracking project budgets in PM software
Field new project requests; gather all information to get projects ready for design/production.
Create client success by providing unique and effective solutions and excellent customer service.
Work with Creative Director to develop project plans, identify resourcing / staffing needs and timelines across multiple campaigns
Partner with Principal and Managing Director to set up and improve our project management software and operational flow, setting and defining new processes as needed.
Monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems while proactively identifying solutions to address them in advance
Conduct and manage internal meetings to review status of all on-going projects
Strong ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects and delivering quick results
Other responsibilities:

We are a small firm; the ability to wear many hats and learn new skills is important.
We partner with other small firms and freelancers; we need help communicating with these partners and ensuring all tasks are on track.
Be solutions-oriented, always come to the table with a plan of action, and be ready to self start.
Knowledge and skills:

Ability to communicate with clients in a professional manner, both written, verbally and over video chats.
Ability to understand client needs and effectively translate them into estimates and instructions for the artist team.
Excel at working in fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
Strong knowledge of video and digital production processes
Ability to problem-solve; think through issues independently and collaboratively, and offer possible solutions
Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Google Suite, file systems. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications and project management software a plus
Highly detailed and able to multi-task with limited direction
Unparalleled commitment to excellence — working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy.
Work Experience:

5+ years of project management experience at a busy agency, preferably in integrated / social media campaigns and/or post production video advertising content production.
Strong knowledge and understanding of creative planning, production, VFX workflows, and asset management processes.
Strong attention to detail and comfortable working in a fast pace environment
Working conditions/physical requirement:

This is a partially remote position and, when remote and engaging with clients, should present a professional, clean backdrop and wardrobe.
Expect long periods of time on the computer.
