Sourcing Matters. Dona uses the same ethos as specialty coffee and translates it into their sourcing practices. They work directly with farmers and collectives around the world to ensure they’re getting the highest quality + ethically sourced ingredients to make their incredible teas. Here a little about the spices + teas pictured above:

Oolong & white peony are sourced from Wah Tea Estate in Himachal Pradesh, India. The estate is dedicated to preserving biodiversity and maintaining soil health.

Matcha sourced from several small, independent producers in Japan dedicated to the artisanal production of matcha. The matcha is shade grown, hand-harvested and traditionally milled in limited quantities then air-freighted for optimal freshness.

Cardamom is grown by a single farmer, Don Jesus in Trinidad, Santa Bárbara, Honduras. We purchase the majority of his cardamom crop, ensuring a fresh supply and paying a fair price.

Honey Honey is an herbal bouquet of piney sage, floral rose from Tamil Nadu, India, vibrant blue cornflower & lemongrass from an organic tea collective in the foothills of Mt. Kanchanjungha, Nepal.

Dance In Yellow includes equitably sourced turmeric and ginger both from Nicaragua, and lemongrass from small family farms in Nepal.

Grayscale features whole leaf Assam tea from woman-run Chota Tingrai Estate with pure bergamot and lemon oil, accented with blue cornflower.

The Field is an herbal blend of chamomile blossoms from Nepal, with mint and fennel from Afghanistan and dried elderflower that is wildly grown in Albania.

Rose Is My Name An aromatic blend of whole leaf Assam tea from Chota Tingrai Estate paired with equitably sourced Nicaraguan cardamom and rose petals grown on a small farm in the state of Gujarat along India’s western coast.
