Birth With Spirit is a doula training organization that aims to prepare aspiring doulas to treat the whole person on the journey through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Founded by April Kline, Birth With Spirit blends ancient wisdom and modern evidence into a blend that focuses on training doulas who see pregnancy, birth, and postpartum not just as physical events but emotional, psychological, and spiritual ones as well.

“There are many doula training organizations, but mother of them are expensive, have requirements that are prohibitive and focus mainly on two things: the physical aspects of the childbearing years and the business side of being a doula,” she said. “Birth With Spirit is built on key principles that are woven throughout training, peer reviews, continued education opportunities and mentorship for doulas as they provide knowledge and unconditional support to all our clients.”

Birth With Spirit doulas live and work all over the state of Ohio. However, many are focused on the areas including Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, Dayton, Columbus, Zanesville, Tipp City/Troy/Sidney and north to the Port Clinton/Sandusky areas.

Have you heard the news?!

MEAS Active and Cincy Girls Who are teaming up to launch PROJECT MEAS!

This isn’t your average run group, it’s a project! The Spring/Summer Training Program kicked off this month and goes through June 30.

Walkers and runners of any level participating in PROJECT MEAS get 5K and 10K training plans, group runs two times a week, MEAS swag, education, exclusive events and classes, MEAS discounts, partner discounts, and more!

Group runs are done on Wednesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 8am with various meet-up locations, but mainly in City Central.

The race schedule includes, but is not limited to, the Flying Pig 50 West Mile; Flying Pig 5K/10K; Silverton Color Fun Run; Redlegs 10K, 5K/1M; and the Hyde Park Blast 4M
