Jenna’s DM: I’m hosting Thanksgiving this year. My sister, Kelly, is notorious for trying out “creative” recipes that usually… don’t turn out well. Last year, she brought a "healthy" pumpkin pie made with tofu that no one touched. This year, I politely asked if she could just pick up a pie from a bakery instead of making one herself. Now she’s calling me ungrateful and says I’m trying to embarrass her. I wasn’t trying to be mean—I just want dessert everyone will actually eat! Am I a jerk?

Ryan’s DM: I’m a mid-20s sales rep, and while I’m doing fine on paper (meeting quotas, snagging bonuses), I feel… just empty. Honestly, every time I hit a target, instead of feeling accomplished, I feel like I’m getting roped further into something I’m not passionate about. I’ve always loved creative stuff — writing, design, marketing — but those things feel light years away from my current skill set. Problem is, every time I bring this up with friends or family, they just tell me to stick with sales because ‘it’s stable’ and ‘I’m good at it.’I get that pivoting to a new field might mean starting from scratch, but is it crazy to think I could make this shift without throwing away the work I’ve put in? Any advice on how I can leverage my sales experience to break into a creative role, or is this just wishful thinking?

Lily’s DM: I’m in my last semester of college, and my friend Amy and I recently got into an argument about our future plans. I mentioned that I’ll be working part-time while getting my Master’s, with my parents still covering my rent. She reacted by saying I’d never be ambitious unless I struggled like she’s planning to. I tried to change the subject, but she kept going, even suggesting I was “spoiled.” Frustrated, I snapped back that maybe my parents just “love me more.” Now, I regret saying it, but I was so fed up with her constant criticism. Am I a jerk?

Jake’s DM: My girlfriend (21F) and I (22M) have been together over a year, and I’m struggling with her breath. Usually, it’s temporary and no big deal, but lately, it’s been consistently bad—like rotting food—and it’s affecting our relationship. It’s strong enough that cuddling and kissing have become uncomfortable, and I even notice it in the room after sleeping next to her. She’s seen a dentist, but they found nothing wrong, so I asked her to check with a doctor. Now there's tension between us, and I don’t know how to handle this. Should I not have brought up her bad breath?
