Tanya Heath presented appreciation grants to representatives of Columbia, MO Fire Department and Columbia MO Police Officers' Association at the Pachyderms meeting today. The Columbia Pachyderm Club, The Boone County Republican Women’s Club and the Boone County Pachyderm Club and community members from Columbia all contributed to this effort to show how valued our first responders are to regular citizens.
Attendees expressed regret that better compensation for and recognition of our protectors isn’t forthcoming from city leaders.
