FYI. - sorry for the long post but I feel like I need to get this out there

I’m sure most of you have seen the hate directed towards our tight and loyal group this past week. The graffiti has been removed now so it’s in the past. Looking ahead I am sure others will try and villainize me and our group because many do not like the fact that I support Erik Rintamaki and Yooperlites. Many of you have heard so many rumors on that subject and I guarantee that they are all untrue and being spread by a few toxic individuals. I truly believe without Erik’s discovery most of us would have never even heard of these fabulous glowing rocks.

Just to be clear… Not once in the 9+ years of my adventures have I cheated, stole, plagiarized, insulted or misrepresented anyone. I have had many group hunts and have taken many of you out personally to hunt fluorescent minerals. Each time I have provided lights, knowledge and my personal time along with a 1hr 30min drive each way to the best hunting locations and gave away every rock I find. Not one time have I ever asked to be compensated…. Or received any commission for lights or equipment that I recommended for purchase. I have hidden hundreds of treasures loaded with pounds and pounds of fluorescent rocks in hopes of getting more people into rockhounding… once again all done out of the kindness of my heart.

In conclusion I’m gonna keep spreading my light and focusing on what makes me happy and growing this community. Rocks

It’s really sad that people in this world have so much hate. Each and everyone in this group and everyone that knows me should know that I am totally against vandalism, hate and destroying nature, etc. It just goes to show one thing.

To combat the hate…we must be making a positive impact on the world!

PS - I am certain the metroparks will prosecute for these crimes.
