Assistant Principal Johnson of Hixson Elementary School shares a simplified version of her favorite dish: tacos! Food is a great way to bring friends and family together.
Do you have a favorite dish you love to make with your family, or one that reminds you of a fond memory? We would love to hear it.

04/03/2024

We had so much fun at Hixson Elementary School last week. We work with students on helping them create "family artifacts" of a recipe that they hold dear. Students were able to step it out by writing out the ingredients and instructions to the recipe. Then they were able to picture their recipes by drawing the finished product. Next the students created their own chef bio, and finally were able to put it all together by recording their favorite family recipe on their very own "Chef Show" using our mobile green screen studio. We would love to bring learning environments like this to your school or organization. Visit wtcitv.org to learn more. Thank you Northside Neighborhood House for inviting us

We were so glad to be able to host BIG Futures program last night. We were able to showcase all of the career possibilities within public media while learning some media literacy skills along the way. Bigs and Littles then got the chance to put together their own video showcasing what they learned.
