Next week, it's the broadcast premiere of The Light We Share! Our team at WTCI PBS got to know the talented team of creators at The Pop Up Project back in 2020, when they came together to create vulnerable art amid a global pandemic. Our original documentary, Essential: The Making of The Light We Share, follows their process, and highlights the critical role of the arts and collaboration in helping us understand our shared humanity in the face of so many forces that are driving us apart.

The Light We Share is a feature-length, visual album-style film. Through dance, music, visual art, and poetry, it examines the struggles and triumphs of everyday lives, while enforcing the values of empathy and human connection. Essential: The Making of the Light We Share is a half-hour documentary, produced by WTCI, that follows the process of a small, local production company creating vulnerable art in the midst of a global pandemic.
