Southern knowledge would like to give a quick review about The Color Purple the movie.

I was hesitant to see the movie because I am not a fan of musicals or a lot of songs.
I'm more of a theatrical lover that likes to see raw talents and true life stories. I will say there were more than 12 songs in the entire movie it got a little rough there at one point but I got through it.

I would like to thank Warner Brothers, Oprah Winfrey , Steven Spielberg, Alice Walker and her daughter for an amazing rendition of a new look and a new sense of The Color Purple. We stepped out of the old and brought it into the new. Quite impressed with the relation of the coast of Georgia Waters and the coastal waters of Africa amazing satire.

The wardrobes were amazing The scores were amazing The sets were true to life and very impressive. The best scene in the movie I would say would be the table scene as always. There was a tie for the second place that would the Sophia fight and Easter dinner.

This is a heartfelt movie you will shed a tear so bring your tissue. We respected the updates of how we should treat each other although we needed to keep in line with the original film.

Thank Regal Cinema here in Charlotte, NC for allowing Tuesday to be a reduced price day for members. You can obtain a $6 ticket and half price popcorn.

If you don't like singing like I do you can get through it.

It was a great movie I will say I do hope that Fantasia is not typecast going further because her voice is fairly light but she's a damn good singer. I would have liked to see just a little bit more speaking out of Fantasia there was more expression and singing than it was actually acting. But she still did a great job.

Taraji P Henson keeps up the good work with much respect to your efforts of singing.

My girl from the Orange is the New Black, Danielle Brooks will have a long successful career ahead of you. Your range your vocals everything about you is just amazing.

The male cast was quite surprising thank you Oprah and casting management company for allowing comedians and old school players like Lou Gossett Jr to come into this film and make it extra special it was good to see him.

Hopefully everyone gets out to see the movie by the weekend let's make this the biggest grossing movie in 3 years. Thanks Oprah Winfrey

Nobody is born perfect. Embrace failure and see it as an opportunity to grow.

3. Work hard
You should work smart, not hard.
Don't get me wrong, it will still get hard sometimes, but they want you to trade your time for money your whole life.
1 Minute of your life is worth more than all money combined.
Stop valuing it more than your time.

4. Money
Until 1971, money was tied to gold, which gave money value.
Nowadays, money is tied to nothing. Money is basically worthless.
Learn how:
• To create money with no money
• To make money work for you
• Money works
or you will work your entire life for it.

5. Consumerism
Many people think fulfillment lies in materialistic things.
It lies in:
• Personal growth
• Relationships
• Self-love
and in contributing to something greater than ourselves.
You won't find fulfillment anywhere else.

6. Change is impossible
“Life is the way it is”
That's a lie. Life is what you make out of it.
Before you can live the life you want, you must become a person.
Change how you:
• Think
• Feel
• Act
and you can become almost anybody.
