We test the new shift linkage installed on my E36 build. I added a new DSSR (dual shear shift rod), selector joint, and removed the unneeded shifter carrier that was so gracious left by a previous owner. We turned out 3 speed transmission into a 4 speed by unlocking 5th gear, and confirmed that 3rd gear is dead and gone.
