Our Zine is built to inform readers and showcase the many cultural frontiers of cannabis. The term “Zine” (pronounced zeen) came about in the 1930s, when Raymond Arthur Palmer and the Science Correspondence Club created the first science fiction “fanzine.” Later dubbed “Zine,” the new (and often underground) media modality would touch everything from political advocacy to music culture, art and th
e lived experiences of everybody in between. Just face it—inside all of us exists a beautiful tapestry of memories, colors and feelings. Our curated Zine and blog seeks to elevate this tapestry through a highly-unique journalistic experience.

As a growing digital publication, we have three Pillars of Smoke that guide our writing process:
